Anders Rowe
Anders James Rowe (born 9 May 2002) is a motorcycle speedway rider from England. Career Rowe started riding for the Kent Kings during the 2018 National League speedway season and helped them win the National Trophy and Pairs Championship. He then joined Somerset Rebels for the SGB Championship 2019. The same year he won the 2019 National League Riders' Championship. In 2021, he moved up to the SGB Premiership and started riding for Ipswich Witches, as well as riding in the lower division for Redcar Bears. In 2022, he stayed with the Ipswich Witches in the SGB Premiership 2022 and joined Leicester Lions in the SGB Championship 2022. Later that season he switched from Leicester to Scunthorpe Scorpions. In 2023, Rowe rode for Poole Pirates in Great Britain, and Rzeszów in Poland. Weymouth, Dorset
Weymouth is a seaside town in Dorset, on the English Channel coast of England. Situated on a sheltered bay at the mouth of the River Wey, south of the county town of Dorchester, Weymouth had a population of 53,427 in 2021. SGB Championship 2019
The SGB Championship 2019 is the second division of Great British speedway. The season runs between March and October 2019 and consisted of 12 participating teams. The current league champions are the Workington Comets who completed an excellent 2018 season winning three major trophies. Four new teams joined the SGB Championship in 2019 with two of them dropping down from the 2018 SGB Premiership league season these teams were Leicester Lions and Somerset Rebels with Ipswich Witches and Peterborough Panthers moving in the opposite direction. Two teams from the third tier of British speedway the National League Birmingham Brummies and Eastbourne Eagles moved up into this season's league while the Lakeside Hammers did not compete. Redcar Bears Riders
Redcar is a seaside town on the Yorkshire Coast in the Redcar and Cleveland unitary authority in the county of North Yorkshire, England. It is located east of Middlesbrough. 2023 Speedway Grand Prix
The 2023 Speedway Grand Prix season was the 29th season of the Speedway Grand Prix era, and decided the 78th FIM Speedway World Championship. It was the second series promoted by Discovery Sports Events. Bartosz Zmarzlik was the defending champion, having won the 2022 title. Zmarzlik successfully retained the title, winning a fourth championship, despite being disqualified from round nine in Denmark. He beat Fredrik Lindgren by eight points, with Martin Vaculík securing the bronze medal. During the championships, Zmarzlik secured four Grand Prix wins after the Latvian Grand Prix, which equalled the 22 career Grand Prix wins of fellow Pole Tomasz Gollob. He then went on to win a fifth Grand Prix, which equalled the all-time record of 23 held by Jason Crump. Qualification For the 2023 season there were 15 permanent riders, who were joined at each Grand Prix by one wild card and two track reserves. SGB Championship 2022
The 2022 SGB Championship season is the 75th season of the second tier of British Speedway and the 5th known as the SGB Championship. Summary Eleven clubs competed in the Championship in 2022, with Oxford returning to the sport after a 15 year absence. The Eastbourne Eagles and the Kent Kings did not compete in the 2022 edition, with the Kings riding in the National Development League as The Royals, and Eastbourne not riding at all. Alongside the league and Knockout Cup, a new Summer competition was added in form of a group stage before a three team final at Sheffield. The tournament was called 'The Championship Jubilee League' which was eventually suspended until the 2023 season. However the additional fixtures created an issue due to the suspension of fixtures during the Death and state funeral of Elizabeth II and the heavy rain during October.
