Anders Hana
Anders Hana (born 7 August 1982 in Stavanger, Norway) is a Norwegian musician (guitar), composer and marine biologist, known as a veteran of the bands ''Noxagt'', ''Ultralyd'' and ''Moha!'', and a series of wildlife projects in northern Norway. Career Hana established ''Jazzuken'' in Stavanger, Norway in 2003, and operated the jazz club Sting there for three years. He moved to Oslo, where he cooperated with Mats Gustafsson at ''All Ears'' (2005). He has released several albums with the drummer Morten J. Olsen as ''MoHa!'', and contributes to the quartet ''Ultralyd'' together with Kjetil Møster (saxophones), Kjetil D. Brandsdal (bass) and Olsen (drums). He played guitar with the rock band Noxagt. He and Møster are the duo ''Hakj''; with Olsen and Andrew D'Angelo they are the trio ''Morthana''; and as a duo with Paal Nilssen-Love they released the album ''AM/FM'' (2006) on Utech Records. Stavanger (, , American English, US usually , ) is a city and municipalities of Norway, municipality in Norway. The University of Agder ( no, Universitetet i Agder), formerly known as Agder College and Agder University College, is a public university with campuses in Kristiansand and Grimstad, Norway. Rune Grammofon is a Norwegian record label founded in 1998 by Rune Kristoffersen. Rune Grammofon's reputation for lovingly issued experimental electronic music, jazz, and improvised music by Norwegian artists has grown over the years with its artists being featured heavily in magazines such as ''The Wire'' and ''Plan B''. The label is home to the widely respected improvisational group Supersilent as well as the solo work of its members including Deathprod and Arve Henriksen. Other notable releases are by Shining, Susanna and the Magical Orchestra, Jono El Grande, Skyphone, Alog, Phonophani and Food. Frode Gjerstad (born 24 March 1948) is a Norwegian jazz musician with alto saxophone as principal instrument, but he also plays other saxophones, clarinet, and flute. He has collaborated with Paal Nilssen-Love, Borah Bergman, Peter Brötzmann, Evan Parker, Derek Bailey, Bjørn Kjellemyr, Terje Isungset, William Parker, Sabir Mateen, John Stevens, Johnny Dyani, Kent Carter, and since 1979 has contributed to more than 50 recordings. (in Norwegian) Career Gjerstad played in the trio Detail together with the British drummer John Stevens, in the period 1981–1994, and they released fourteen albums. Kongsberg Jazz Festival or Kongsberg Jazzfestival is an international jazz festival that has been held annually in Kongsberg, Norway, since 1964.
