Anders (Dragon Age)
Anders is a fictional character in BioWare's ''Dragon Age'' franchise. The character made his debut in '' Dragon Age: Origins – Awakening'' as a human mage pursued by members of the Templar Order, the military arm of the Chantry, which is the dominant religious organization in the ''Dragon Age'' series. He joins the player character as a party member. He appears again as a companion character in 2011's ''Dragon Age II''. Although the character is initially depicted in ''Origins – Awakening'' to be only concerned about his own personal freedom, by ''Dragon Age II'' he has developed a zealous passion to help other mages who are oppressed by the Chantry. He later reveals to Hawke, the player character of the second game, that he has allowed himself to be possessed by a spirit prior to his relocation to Kirkwall, whose rigid belief in moral absolutes influenced his predominantly lighthearted and carefree disposition. ''Dragon Age'' is a media franchise centered on a series of fantasy role-playing video games created and developed by BioWare, which have seen releases on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Microsoft Windows, OS X, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The franchise takes place on the fictional continent Thedas, and follows the experiences of its various inhabitants. ''Rock Paper Shotgun'' (also rendered ''Rock, Paper, Shotgun''; short ''RPS'') is a UK-based website for reporting on video games, primarily for PC. Originally launched on 13 July 2007 as an independent site, ''Rock Paper Shotgun'' was acquired and brought into the Gamer Network, a network of sites led by ''Eurogamer'' in May 2017. The Kinsey scale, also called the Heterosexual–Homosexual Rating Scale, is used in research to describe a person's sexual orientation based on one’s experience or response at a given time. The scale typically ranges from 0, meaning exclusively heterosexual, to a 6, meaning exclusively homosexual. ''Ctrl+Alt+Del'' (''CAD'') is a gaming-related webcomic and animated series written by Tim Buckley. The name of the comic refers to the Windows command Control-Alt-Delete. Premiering on October 23, 2002, the comic's focus has gradually shifted away from single strip gags towards longer story arcs and greater continuity through the use of video game references. Ctrl+Alt+Del currently is updated every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. ''Ctrl+Alt+Del'' has provided Buckley with enough income to make a living, placing ''Ctrl+Alt+Del'' in a small group of web comics that receive full-time devotion from their artist.
