''And the Same to You'' is a 1960 British boxing-themed comedy film directed by George Pollock and starring Brian Rix and William Hartnell. It is based on a stage farce by A.P. Dearsley. Premise Stuck with the nickname "Dreadnought", Dickie Marchant (Brian Rix) feels he has no choice but to pursue a career as a boxer. However, to mollify his uncle (Leo Franklyn), Marchant pretends to be the soul of religiosity, while his tough-talking manager, Walter 'Wally' Burton (William Hartnell), poses as a man of the cloth. George Pollock (27 March 1907 – 22 December 1979) was a British people, British film director, best known for bringing Agatha Christie, Agatha Christie's detective Miss Marple to the big screen for the first time, starring Margaret Rutherford. Life and work Born in Leicester, England in 1907, Pollock began his professional career as an assistant director, assistant film director in 1936. Miles Malleson
William Miles Malleson (25 May 1888 – 15 March 1969) was an English actor and dramatist, particularly remembered for his appearances in British comedy films of the 1930s to 1960s. Towards the end of his career he also appeared in cameo roles in several Hammer horror films, with a fairly large role in ''The Brides of Dracula'' as the hypochondriac and fee-hungry local doctor. Bob Simmons ( Fulham, London, England, 31 March 1923 – 21 October 1987) was an English actor and stunt man who worked in many British-made films, most notably the James Bond series. Jennifer Phipps (born Jennifer Maude, April 16, 1932 – April 18, 2019) was a Canadian actress best known for her work on stage. Early years Phipps was born out of wedlock to Elizabeth Maude in Marylebone, London, England, and "kind of tucked away," said a long-time friend. Ronald George Hinings Adams (31 December 1896 – 28 March 1979), known professionally as Ronald Adam, was a British officer of the RFC and RAF, an actor on stage and screen, and a successful theatre manager.
