''And That's the Truth'' is a 1972 comedy album by Lily Tomlin released on Polydor Records. Tomlin recorded the album live before an audience at The Ice House in Pasadena, California. The album features Tomlin as one of her most celebrated characters, five-and-a-half-year old Edith Ann, who hounds a new neighbor (also played by Tomlin) with her little dramas real and imagined, as well as sage advice and tales of her family's private life. Mary Jean "Lily" Tomlin (born September 1, 1939) is an American actress, comedian, writer, singer, and producer. She started her career as a stand-up comedian as well as performing off-Broadway during the 1960s. Her breakout role was on the variety show ''Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In'' from 1969 until 1973. She starred as Frankie Bergstein on the Netflix series ''Grace and Frankie'', which debuted in 2015 and earned her nominations for four Primetime Emmy Awards, three Screen Actors Guild Awards, and a Golden Globe Award. In 1975, Tomlin made her film debut with Robert Altman's ''Nashville'', which earned her a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. Jane Wagner (born February 26, 1935) is an American writer, director and producer. She is Lily Tomlin's comedy writer, collaborator and wife. She is the author of ''The Search for Signs of Intelligent Life in the Universe'', ''The Incredible Shrinking Woman'' and other Tomlin vehicles. Early life and education Wagner was born and raised in Morristown, Tennessee, where she quickly developed a penchant for writing. She attended Morristown High School, where she wrote for the school newspaper. At 17, she left the hills of East Tennessee to pursue an acting career in New York City, where she also studied painting and sculpture at the School of Visual Arts and piano. Bill Weeden (born August 8, 1940) is an American film and stage actor, comedy writer, and songwriter. Early life Weeden was born on August 8, 1940, in Melbourne, Florida He graduated from Yale University in 1962. Warren Burton (October 23, 1944 – October 2, 2017) was an American actor. During the late 1970s and throughout the 1990s, he was seen on several daytime soap operas, usually in villainous roles.
