Anatolie Cîrîcu
Anatolie Cîrîcu (born 14 September 1988) is a Moldovan weightlifter. Cîrîcu is the champion of the 2012 European Weightlifting Championships for the 94 kg category. He also participated in the 2011 European Weightlifting Championships, where he won the silver medal. Doping At the 2012 Summer Olympics he originally won the bronze medal in the men's 94kg category, lifting a total of 407 kg. On 27 July 2016, the IWF reported that, in the IOC's second wave of doping re-sampling, Cîrîcu had tested positive for the steroid dehydrochlormethyltestosterone Chlorodehydromethyltestosterone (CDMT; brand name Oral Turinabol), also known as 4-chloro-17β-hydroxy17α-methylandrosta-1,4-dien-3-one, is an anabolic–androgenic steroid (AAS). Cahul
Cahul (; also known by other alternative names) is a city and municipality in southern Moldova. The city is the administrative center of Cahul District; it also administers one village, Cotihana. Olympic weightlifting, or Olympic-style weightlifting (officially named Weightlifting), is a sport in which athletes compete in lifting a barbell loaded with weight plates from the ground to overhead, with each athlete trying to successfully lift the heaviest weights. Athletes compete in two specific ways of lifting the barbell overhead: these are the snatch and the clean and jerk. The ''snatch'' is a wide-grip lift, in which the weighted barbell is lifted overhead in one motion.
