Anastasia Oberstolz-Antonova
Anastasia Oberstolz-Antonova (born 12 October 1981) is a Soviet/ Russian-born, Italian luger who has competed since the late 1990s and for Italy since 2003. She won two bronze medals in the mixed team event at the FIL World Luge Championships (2004, 2005). At the FIL European Luge Championships, Oberstolz-Antonova earned two silver medals in the mixed team event (2004, 2006). Oberstolz-Antonova finished 15th in the women's singles event at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City. At the following Winter Olympics, she was involved in a serious crash during the first run of the women's singles event and did not finish as a result. 2006 Winter Olympics
The 2006 Winter Olympics, officially the XX Olympic Winter Games ( it, XX Giochi olimpici invernali) and also known as Torino 2006, were a winter multi-sport event held from 10 to 26 February 2006 in Turin, Italy. This marked the second time Italy had hosted the Winter Olympics, the first being in 1956 in Cortina d'Ampezzo; Italy had also hosted the Summer Olympics in 1960 in Rome. Turin was selected as the host city for the 2006 Games in June 1999. The official motto of Torino 2006 was "Passion lives here". The Games' logo depicted a stylized profile of the Mole Antonelliana building, drawn in white and blue ice crystals, signifying the snow and the sky. Christian Oberstolz (born 8 August 1977 in Innichen) is an Italian luger who has competed since 1997. He won seven medals at the FIL World Luge Championships with two silvers (Men's doubles: 2011, Mixed team: 2007) and five bronzes (Men's doubles: 2015, 2016, Doubles sprint: 2016, Mixed team: 2004, 2005).
