Albert Anastasia
Umberto "Albert" Anastasia (, ; ; September 26, 1902 – October 25, 1957) was an Italian-American mobster, hitman, and crime boss. One of the founders of the modern American Mafia, and a co-founder and later boss of the Murder, Inc. organization, Anastasia eventually rose to the position of boss in what became the modern Gambino crime family. He also controlled New York City's waterfront for most of his criminal career, including the dockworker unions. Anastasia was murdered on October 25, 1957, on the orders of Vito Genovese and Carlo Gambino; Gambino subsequently became boss of the family. Antônio Augusto Junho Anastasia (Belo Horizonte, May 9, 1961) is a Brazilian lawyer and politician, affiliated to the Social Democratic Party. He graduated with a bachelor's and later a master's from the Federal University of Minas Gerais's Law School. He started his career in academia, working as a Law professor in the Milton Campos Law School and in the João Pinheiro Foundation. In 1993, he was approved in a competitive examination from his ''alma mater'', UFMG, and was invested as a tenured Administrative Law professor. Lawrence J. Anastasia, Jr. (December 20, 1926 – July 24, 2008) was a member of the Connecticut House of Representatives for 18 years. He represented the 138th District.
