Chirodini Tumi Je Amar
''Chirodini ... Tumi Je Aamar'' (English: ''You Are Mine Eternally'') is a 2008 Indian Bengali romantic drama film directed by Raj Chakraborty, making his directional debut in Tollywood. This is a remake of Tamil film ''Kaadhal'' (2004) directed by Balaji Sakthivel. Plot Krishna ( Rahul Banerjee) is a diligent scooter mechanic in Siliguri and life goes on smoothly for him until the rich schoolgirl Pallavi (Priyanka Sarkar) sets her eyes on him. The infatuation reaches dangerous levels when she coaxes Krishna to take her away from the clutches of her family, which has other plans about her future. The film begins with the elopement, as Pallavi steps out of her house in her school uniform, leaving even her wristwatch behind since Krishna has instructed her not to take a single thing with her. Tarun Majumdar
Tarun Majumdar (or Mazumdar, 22 September 1931 – 4 July 2022) was an Indian film director and Screenwriter who is known for his work in Bengali cinema. He received four National Awards, seven BFJA Awards, five Filmfare Awards and an Anandalok Award. In 1990, the Government of India honoured him with the Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian award. He alongside Sachin Mukherji and Dilip Mukherji made his directorial debut, under the screen name Yatrik, with the 1959 Bengali film '' Chaowa Pawa'' starring Suchitra Sen and Uttam Kumar as the leads. He received his first National Award for the 1962 Bengali film ''Kancher Swarga''. ''Sathi'' () is a 2002 Indian Bengali-language romantic drama film directed by Haranath Chakraborty. It stars Jeet and Priyanka Trivedi, with the former making his debut. It served as the Bengali remake of the Tamil film, ''Thulladha Manamum Thullum'' (1999) and became the highest-grossing Bengali film of that year. Sathi is notable for being the debut film of actor Jeet, who achieved a major career breakthrough through the same.
