Anaheim Splash
The Anaheim Splash was a U.S. indoor soccer team that played in the Continental Indoor Soccer League (CISL). It was founded in 1992 as the Los Angeles United, but was sold after the season. The new ownership moved the team to Anaheim, California and renamed it the Anaheim Splash. The team folded in 1997, along with the CISL. On August 19, 1992, he was awarded a franchise named Los Angeles United. The team played in the Great Western Forum in Inglewood, California, which was also owned by Buss. Arrowhead Pond Of Anaheim
The Honda Center (formerly known as the Arrowhead Pond of Anaheim) is an indoor arena located in Anaheim, California. The arena is home to the Anaheim Ducks of the National Hockey League. Originally named the Anaheim Arena during construction, it was completed in 1993 at a cost of US$123 million. Arrowhead Water paid $15 million for the naming rights over 10 years in October 1993. In the short period of time after the Mighty Ducks franchise was awarded and before the naming rights deal with Arrowhead, Disney referred to the Arena as the Pond of Anaheim. LA Galaxy, also known as the Los Angeles Galaxy, are an American professional soccer club based in the Los Angeles metropolitan area. The Galaxy competes in Major League Soccer (MLS), as a member of the Western Conference. The club began play in 1996 as one of the league's 10 charter members. XEWW-AM (690 kHz) is a commercial AM radio station licensed to the Tijuana/Rosarito area of Baja California, Mexico. Its studios and offices are located in Burbank, California, United States and it is leased by H&H USA. Transmitter XEWW is a high-powered Class A station, with its 77,000-watt daytime signal sometimes reaching as far as the middle of the San Joaquin Valley. It covers nearly all of Southern California and most of Baja California. XEWW operates with 50,000 watts at night as is required by the "Rio Treaty." This same treaty would normally allow XEWW to operate with a daytime signal of 100,000 watts. KLAA (830 kHz "Angels Radio") is a commercial AM radio station licensed to the city of Orange, California, and broadcasting to the Greater Los Angeles Area. The station is owned by LAA 1, LLC, composed of the owners and executives of the Los Angeles Angels baseball team, and is held separately from the baseball club. KLAA's studios and offices are located on the grounds of Angel Stadium of Anaheim in Anaheim, California. The transmitter is in Chino, California, off McCarty Road. Sean Bowers
Sean Patrick Bowers (born August 12, 1968) is a retired U.S. soccer defender. He spent most of his career playing indoor soccer, earning the 1992 NPSL Rookie of the Year, four-time Defender of the Year and a six-time first team All Star in four different indoor leagues. He also played four seasons with the Kansas City Wizards in Major League Soccer. He currently is the General Manager for the San Diego Sockers of the Professional Arena Soccer League. High school and college Bowers grew up in San Diego, California where he played his youth soccer with the San Diego Nomads. He also played goalkeeper at Mira Mesa High School where he was two-time All City. Following high school, he attended Miramar College for two years before finishing college at Quincy University in Quincy, Illinois. He played soccer at both Miramar and Quincy. Ralph Black (soccer)
Ralph Black (born October 6, 1963 in Glasgow) is a retired Scottish-American soccer defender who spent most of his career in indoor soccer. Indoor soccer MISL Black began his career with the Denver Avalanche of Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL). The Avalanche folded at the end of 1981-1982 season. He then moved to the Baltimore Blast. However, in 1984, MISL granted a franchise in Washington State, known as the Tacoma Stars. Black established himself as a mainstay in the Stars defense. He spent at least the 1989-1990 season with the San Diego Sockers. However, he was back in Tacoma for the 1991-1992 season. The Stars and MISL folded in 1992. He finished his career in the MISL ranked sixth on the all time games played list with 442 games. Sacramento Knights were an indoor soccer team that played from 1993 to 2001 in ARCO Arena and were owned by the NBA's Sacramento Kings. The team played in the Continental Indoor Soccer League from 1993 to 1997. The team then moved to the World Indoor Soccer League in 1998 after the CISL folded. The team itself folded when the WISL merged with the Major Indoor Soccer League in 2001. Personnel The Knights were coached by retired English player Keith Weller from 1994 to 1997.
