Anne-Marie "Ana" Padurariu ( ro, Ana Pădurariu; born August 1, 2002) is a Canadian artistic gymnast and the 2018 World Championships silver medalist on balance beam. Early life Ana Padurariu is of Romanian descent. Born in Bracebridge, Ontario, she resides in Whitby. She attended Sinclair Secondary School. Padurariu's club is Gemini Gymnastics (located in Oshawa, Ontario), where she took up gymnastics at the age of four. Her favorite apparatus are beam and floor. Her dream is to compete at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, just as former Gemini Gymnastics gymnast Kristina Vaculik did in London in 2012. Bracebridge, Ontario
Bracebridge is a town and the seat of the Muskoka District Municipality in Ontario, Canada. The town was built around a waterfall on the Muskoka River in the centre of town, and is known for its other nearby waterfalls (Wilson's Falls, High Falls, etc.). It was first incorporated in 1875. Floor (gymnastics)
In gymnastics, the floor is a specially prepared exercise surface, which is considered an apparatus. It is used by both male and female gymnasts. The gymnastics event performed on the floor is called floor exercise. The English abbreviation for the event in gymnastics scoring is FX. A spring floor is used in all of gymnastics to provide more bounce, and also help prevent potential injuries to lower extremity joints of gymnasts due to the nature of the apparatus, which includes the repeated pounding required to train it. Cheerleading also uses spring floors for practice. The sprung floor used for indoor athletics, however, is designed to reduce bounce. Gymnastics competitions at the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru were held between July 27 and August 5, 2019 at the Polideportivo Villa El Salvador, which also hosted the karate competitions. The artistic competitions took place between July 27 and 31. The rhythmic competition took place between August 2 and 5. The trampoline competition took place between August 4 and 5. 24 medal events were contested; 14 in artistic gymnastics (eight for men, six for women), eight in rhythmic (all for women) and 2 in trampoline (one per gender). Brooklyn Moors
Brooklyn Chloe Moors (born February 23, 2001) is a Canadian artistic gymnast who competed at the 2020 Olympic Games. She has also represented Canada at the 2017, 2018, and 2019 World Championships. At the 2017 World Championships she became the first Canadian to win the Longines Prize for Elegance. She is the 2019 Pan American Games champion on the floor exercise and the silver medalist with the team. She is also the 2017 Pan American champion on the floor exercise.
