Ana Botella Gómez
Ana Botella Gómez (born 12 February 1958) is a Spanish politician of the Socialist Party serving as Member of the Congress of Deputies representing Valencia. From 2018 to 2020, she served as the 11th Secretary of State for Security of the Government of Spain. Biography Botella was born in the Valencia in 1958. She has a degree in Geography and History by the University of Valencia, being one of the best of the promotion and awarded with the Extraordinary Degree Award. She also has a Diploma in Foreign Trade from the UNED (1984), a Master in Public Management from the Polytechnic University of Valencia (1995 - 1997), and a Diploma as University Specialist in International Security and Conflicts, from the Gutiérrez Mellado-UNED University Institute (2014). Ana Botella Serrano (born 23 July 1953) is a Spanish politician belonging to the People's Party and the first female Mayor of Madrid, from December 2011 to June 2015. Biography Early life Born in Madrid on 23 July 1953, she took her basic education in an elite school managed by the Congregation of Jesus (called the "Irish Mothers" in Spain). She studied law in the Complutense University of Madrid. After graduating, she passed a public examination to the Corps of Civil Administrators of the State, becoming a public servant. The 2015 Spanish general election was held on Sunday, 20 December 2015, to elect the 11th Cortes Generales of the Kingdom of Spain. All 350 seats in the Congress of Deputies were up for election, as well as 208 of 266 seats in the Senate. At exactly four years and one month since the previous general election, this remains the longest timespan between two general elections since the Spanish transition to democracy, and the only time in Spain a general election has been held on the latest possible date allowed under law.
