''Amusement'' is the quarterly high-range French magazine dedicated to video games and digital entertainment. Its first issue was published in May 2008. This magazine of approximately 200 pages is distributed in France and in many English-speaking countries.The magazine has been mainly lauded for the very new and artistic way to represent digital entertainment and videogames. It has been founded by Abdel Bounane and Jean-Baptiste Soufron. Abdel Bounane is a French entrepreneur, publisher and editorialist. He is the founder of Amusement, a lifestyle magazine on digital cultures, and the founder of Bright, producing 3D, immersive, playful experiences. Ranked by the media Les Inrocks among the 100 "redefining culture" and WIRED Japan as "changing the way his audience sees the game world", he also writes editorials for CANAL+, French NPR "France Culture", GQ, Le Nouvel Observateur. Blast Theory is a Portslade-based artists' group, whose work mixes interactive media, digital broadcasting and live performance. Biography The group was founded in 1991 by Matt Adams, Niki Jewett, Will Kittow and Ju Row Farr. The group is currently led by Matt Adams, Ju Row Farr and Nick Tandavanitj. Other members include the film maker John Hardwick and performer Jamie Iddon. Jodi (art Collective)
Jodi, is a collective of two internet artists, Joan Heemskerk (born 1968 in Kaatsheuvel, the Netherlands) and Dirk Paesmans (born 1965 in Brussels, Belgium), created in 1994. They were some of the first artists to create Web art and later started to create software art and artistic computer game modification. Their most well-known art piece is their website wwwwwwwww.jodi.org, which is a landscape of intricate designs made in basic HTML. JODI is represented by Upstream Gallery, Amsterdam. Miltos Manetas ( el, Μίλτος Μανέτας; born October 6, 1964 in Athens) is a Greek painter and multimedia artist. He currently lives and works in Bogotá. Manetas has created internet art as well as paintings of cables, computers, video games and Internet websites since the late 1990s, notably since his participation in the 1995 Traffic (art exhibition) curated by Nicolas Bourriaud, which is often related to the beginning of the Relational art movement.
