Sivasagar (Pron: or ) ("the sea of Shiva"), is a city in and headquarters of the Sivasagar district, Assam. Sivasagar is situated about 360 kilometers (224 mi) northeast of Guwahati. The industry was born in 1935 when Jyoti Prasad Agarwala released his movie '' Joymoti''. The Prag Cine Awards North-East 2015 ceremony, presented by the Prag Network, honored the actors, technical achievements, and films censored in 2014 from Assam and rest of Northeast India, and took place on March 21–22, 2015, at the Chowkidingee field in Dibrugarh, Assam.
