Amos Roberts
Amos Roberts (born 2 November 1980) is an Indigenous Australian former professional rugby league footballer. A Country New South Wales representative prolific try-scoring back, he played in Australia's National Rugby League for the St. George Illawarra Dragons, Penrith Panthers and Sydney Roosters clubs and in the Super League for the Wigan Warriors. Rugby league career NRL career Roberts made his NRL début in 2000 with the St George Illawarra Dragons, scoring 22 points in that match. In 2004 he signed with the Penrith Panthers and scored 23 tries in 23 games that year to become the competition's top try scorer that year. He signed with the Sydney Roosters in 2005. Kempsey, New South Wales
Kempsey is a town in the Mid North Coast region of New South Wales, Australia and is the council seat for Kempsey Shire. It is located roughly 16.5 kilometres inland from the coast of the Pacific Ocean, on the Macleay Valley Way near where the Pacific Highway and the North Coast railway line cross the Macleay River. DW Stadium
The DW Stadium is a stadium in Robin Park, in Wigan, within the Metropolitan Borough of Wigan, Greater Manchester, England. The ground is owned and managed by Wigan Football Company Limited, which is 85% owned by Wigan Athletic and 15% owned by Wigan local authority. It is used by Wigan Athletic football club and Wigan Warriors rugby league club, the rugby league club having a 50 years lease on tenancy to play games at the stadium. Built and opened in 1999, it is named after its main sponsor, DW Sports Fitness. In UEFA matches, it is called Wigan Athletic Stadium due to UEFA regulations on sponsorship. The 2004 NRL season (also known as the 2004 Telstra Premiership due to sponsorship from Telstra) was the 97th season of professional rugby league football in Australia, and the seventh run by the National Rugby League. Fifteen clubs competed during the regular season before the top eight finishing teams contested the finals series. The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs defeated the Sydney Roosters in the 2004 NRL grand final and in doing so claimed their eighth premiership. The 2003 NRL premiership was the 96th season of professional rugby league football in Australia and the sixth run by the National Rugby League. 2002 NRL Season
The 2002 NRL season was the 95th season of professional rugby league football in Australia and the fifth to be run by the National Rugby League. The season was affected by the competition-leading Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs' salary cap breach finding, which saw them relegated to the bottom of the NRL ladder. As a result, the New Zealand Warriors won their first minor premiership and made it to the grand final for the first time, playing against foundation club the Sydney Roosters who won the match and collected their first premiership in 27 years. Anthony Mundine Jr. (born 21 May 1975) is an Australian former professional boxer and rugby league footballer. In boxing he competed from 2000 to 2021, and held the WBA super-middleweight title twice between 2003 and 2008. James Roberts (rugby League)
James Roberts (born 3 March 1993) is a former Indigenous Australian professional rugby league footballer who last played as a for the Wests Tigers in the NRL. Roberts had previously played for the South Sydney Rabbitohs in two separate spells, as well as the Penrith Panthers, Gold Coast Titans and the Brisbane Broncos in the National Rugby League. He has also played at representative level for the Indigenous All Stars, City Origin and in the 2018 State of Origin series for New South Wales.
