Ammunition (Krewella EP)
''Ammunition'' is the third extended play by American electronic dance music band Krewella. It was released on May 20, 2016 by Columbia Records on streaming and digital download music services. Ammunition was preceded by the release of the single "Beggars", on April 28, 2016, shortly followed by the promotional single "Broken Record", which was released on May 10, 2016. It is a six-track extended play, and the duo's first major release since the departure of former member Kris Trindl. It is also their first major release since their debut album '' Get Wet''. Background Just over a year after the release of their debut album "Get Wet" in 2013, Kris Trindl publicly announced a lawsuit, suing them $5 million for against Yasmine and Jahan Yousaf claiming they kicked him out of Krewella to gain high profits after he sobered up out of his alcohol addiction. Nicholas Furlong (born September 16, 1986) is an American singer, songwriter, and record producer. His work crosses several musical genres, ranging from dance, rock, and pop, to rap and hip-hop. He is best known for writing and singing vocals on "The Nights" by Avicii. Furlong was initially mentored by songwriter and producer Ryan Tedder, while signed to his publishing company Patriot Games Publishing during the years of 2010–2011. Krewella
Krewella is an American electronic dance music band from the Chicago suburb of Northbrook, Illinois, United States, that formed in 2007. Their musical style has been mainly described as EDM, dance-rock, and dance-pop. However, Krewella's style has been influenced by a number of electronic sub genres, including progressive house, electro, dubstep, drum and bass, trap music and future bass. Their debut EP, ''Play Hard,'' was released on June 18, 2012, exclusively on Beatport, followed by its release on other digital platforms on June 26, 2012. Later, their debut album, '' Get Wet,'' was released on September 24, 2013, on iTunes. The band consists of sisters Jahan Yousaf and Yasmine Yousaf. "Say Goodbye" is a single by American electronic dance music band Krewella. It was the first single released by Krewella since the departure of member Kris "Rain Man" Trindl. It was released on November 24, 2014, during a livestream in which viewers thought they were going to 'speak out' about the recent lawsuit involving band member Trindl. Background In September 2014, it was announced that member Rain Man was no longer a member of Krewella. Trindl claimed damages and wanted compensation from the Yousaf sisters in a total of $5 million, claiming they had kicked him out of the band unfairly. The case was finalized in October, 2015 however a response was not issued to the public.
