Amit Sebastian Paul
Amit Sebastian Paul (born 29 October 1983) is a Swedish businessman and retired singer. He was a member of the Swedish pop band A*Teens from 1998 to 2004, and briefly pursued a solo recording career after the band dissolved. Biography Paul was born in Boden, Sweden. His father was a Bengali Hindu and came to Sweden 10 years before Amit's birth, while his mother was originally from Värmland. Career A-Teens (1998–2004) In 1998, Paul signed a record deal with Stockholm Records (part of Universal Music Group) along with his then bandmates Marie, Dhani and Sara. Together they performed as the A-Teens. In 1999, they released their first single, a cover of ABBA's ''Mamma Mia''. The single topped the charts in Sweden for 8 consecutive weeks, and the success was similar around the world. Boden, Sweden
Boden (, outdatedly ) is a locality and the seat of Boden Municipality in Norrbotten County, Sweden with 16,847 inhabitants in 2018. It is part of the larger area around coastal city Luleå some southeast. After Kiruna, it is the second largest town in Northern Sweden's interior. History The town of Boden started as a railway junction where the Northern Line (''Norra stambanan'', opened 1894) met with the Ore Line (''Malmbanan'') from the rich iron ore fields in northern Sweden. The town experienced increased growth when the Boden Fortress was constructed in the beginning of the 20th century. A-Teens (stylized as A★TEENS or A*Teens) were a Swedish pop music group from Stockholm, Sweden, formed by Niklas Berg in 1998 originally as an ABBA tribute band called ABBA-Teens and was later renamed A-Teens. The band members were Marie Serneholt, Amit Paul, Dhani Lennevald and Sara Lumholdt. The band's debut album became a success around the world. In 2001, following their second album, '' Teen Spirit'', it was reported that the band had sold 2 million copies.
