Amici Per La Pelle
''Friends for Life'' ( it, Amici per la pelle also known as ''Amis pour la vie'' in France) is a 1955 Italian and French comedy-drama film directed by Franco Rossi. It was nominated for "Best Film" at the 10th British Academy Film Awards. Plot Rome. Mario is a self-confident fourteen-year-old boy who is in eighth grade. One day a new pupil arrives in class, Franco, who is placed by the teacher in Mario's desk. Mario is initially hostile towards the newcomer, who immediately proves to be an intelligent boy and soon enters the good graces of his classmates and professors. After some time, however, the two boys begin to meet and make friends. Mario is the son of a ceramics entrepreneur, while Franco is the son of a diplomat, he lives in a hotel and drinks tomato juice for an aperitif. Franco Rossi (director)
Franco Rossi (19 April 1919, Florence – 5 June 2000, Rome) was an Italian film screenwriter and director, mainly known for having directed the six-hour Italian-German-British-Swiss TV mini-series '' Quo Vadis?'' in 1985. Biography Rossi was born in Florence, Italy. He studied law and then began to work on theatre. He was assistant director of Mario Camerini, Luis Trenker, Renato Castellani, Aldo Vergano. Rossi made his debut as a director with the crime thriller ''I Falsari''. He went on to have his first success with ''Il seduttore'', starring by Alberto Sordi, and among Rossi's other films were ''The Woman in the Painting'' (''Amici per la pelle'', 1955), ''Odissea Nuda'' (1961), ''Three Nights of Love'' (1964), an episode of ''Le bambole'' (1965), and ''Porgi l'altra guancia'' with Bud Spencer in (1974). Carlo Tamberlani (11 March 1899 – 5 August 1980) was an Italian film actor. He appeared in 127 films between 1931 and 1976. He was born in Salice Salentino, Italy and died in Subiaco, Italy. His brother Nando Tamberlani was also an actor. Life and career Born in Salice Salentino, Tamberlani was born in a family of actors and made his debut in his father's stage company.
