American Ninja Warrior (season 3)
The third season of ''American Ninja Warrior'' began airing on July 31, 2011, on G4. Tryouts took place in May 2011 at Venice Beach, California. After the tryouts, the top 15 competitors competed in Ninja Warrior Boot Camp with the top 10 moving on to Japan for the finals of the competition as a part of Sasuke 27 and a chance at becoming the first American to conquer the course and win a $500,000 endorsement deal with K-Swiss. No competitors made it beyond stage 3. This season was once again hosted by Matt Iseman and Jimmy Smith, with Alison Haislip as a sideline reporter. The final episode aired on August 22, 2011, as a two-hour primetime special on NBC. Qualifying Over 300 competitors took part in the tryouts in Venice Beach, CA on May 16, 2011, and May 17, 2011. Matt Iseman
Matt Iseman (born January 22, 1971) is an American comedian, actor, and television host, who began his career as a physician. He is best known for his role as play-by-play announcer and host of ''American Ninja Warrior''. He was the winner of ''The New Celebrity Apprentice'' in 2017, the show's only season. Early life and medical career Iseman was born in Denver, Colorado. The son of a pulmonologist, Iseman was raised in Denver and followed his father into a medical career, earning a B.A. with honors from Princeton University and an M.D. from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. Alison Fesq Haislip (born February 6, 1981) is an American actress and former television personality for ''Attack of the Show!'' on the first incarnation of the G4 network and the NBC reality singing competition show ''The Voice''. Early life Haislip is a native of Tewksbury Township, New Jersey and a graduate of Voorhees High School. She graduated with honors from Boston College, having studied theater. She also trained at the British American Drama Academy. Afterwards, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue her acting career. ''Attack of the Show!'' The results are listed according to who went furthest, along with the obstacle and stage they failed to complete. In the 10th competition, the number system ran from 901–1000 to indicate that 1000 attempts have been made to complete the first stage; in the 20th competition, it ran from 1901–2000 to indicate that 2000 attempts have been made to complete the first stage.
