American Ninja Warrior (season 2)
The second season of ''American Ninja Warrior'' began on December 8, 2010, in Venice Beach, California where 300 competitors took on the course. The 15 semi-finalists moved on to the ''"Ninja Warrior Boot Camp"'' in the remote California mountains, where they competed in a series of team challenges. Then, the final moved on to compete in the season finale of ''American Ninja Warrior 2'' as a part of '' Sasuke 26'' at Mount Midoriyama in Japan. The series concluded on January 2, 2011, same as ''Sasuke 26'' was aired in Japan. This season was hosted by Matt Iseman and Jimmy Smith, with G4's Alison Haislip as a sideline reporter. Matt Iseman
Matt Iseman (born January 22, 1971) is an American comedian, actor, and television host, who began his career as a physician. He is best known for his role as play-by-play announcer and host of ''American Ninja Warrior''. He was the winner of ''The New Celebrity Apprentice'' in 2017, the show's only season. Early life and medical career Iseman was born in Denver, Colorado. The son of a pulmonologist, Iseman was raised in Denver and followed his father into a medical career, earning a B.A. with honors from Princeton University and an M.D. from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. Iseman is of Ashkenazi Jewish, Irish, Danish, and English descent. He did his internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of Colorado Hospital in his hometown of Denver, and later relocated to the Los Angeles area. Freerunning
Freerunning is an athletic and acrobatic discipline incorporating an aesthetic element, and can be considered either a sport or a performance art, or both. Freerunning is similar to parkour, from which it is derived, but emphasizes artistry over efficiency and speed. Freerunning involves interacting with physical obstacles in creative ways, such as by climbing, jumping or running; the obstacles may be purpose-built or may be part of a pre-existing natural or man-made environment. The movements are usually adopted from other sports, such as gymnastics, tricking or breakdancing. Freerunners can create their own moves, flows and lines in different landscapes.
