American Dream (comics)
American Dream (Shannon Carter) is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by writer Tom DeFalco and artist Brent Anderson (comics), Brent Anderson, the character first appeared in the Marvel Comics 2, MC2 series ''A-Next, A-Nex'' #1 (August 1998). Initially debuting as a civilian in ''A-Next'' #1, the character has been referred as "Shannon" in ''A-Next'' #3, before appearing in costume as a prospective team member during ''A-Next'' #4. Her costume is very similar to that of the comic book superhero Captain America, and her initial weapons are throwing disks like Ricochet (comics), Ricochet's but later obtains the Captain America's shield, trademark shield. Publication history American Dream made her debut in ''A-Next, A-Nex'' #1 (August 1998). She has starred in her own comic book series titled ''American Dream'' in May 2008. Ron Frenz
Ronald Wade Frenz (born February 1, 1960) is an American comics artist known for his work for Marvel Comics. He is well known for his 1980s work on ''The Amazing Spider-Man'' and later for his work on '' Spider-Girl'' whom he co-created with writer Tom DeFalco. Frenz and DeFalco had earlier co-created the New Warriors in the pages of ''Thor''. Career Frenz began working for Marvel Comics in the early 1980s. Frenz's early work includes such titles as '' Ka-Zar the Savage'', ''Star Wars'', '' The Further Adventures of Indiana Jones'', and ''Marvel Saga''. His first credited story for Marvel was published in ''Ka-Zar the Savage'' #16 (July 1982). Frenz has a history of working on comic book series in which the characters were not in their original costumes/identities. Galactus () is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Formerly a mortal man, Galactus is a cosmic entity who consumes planets to sustain his life force, and serves a functional role in the upkeep of the primary Marvel continuity. Galactus was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby and first appeared in '' Fantastic Four'' #48 (March 1966). Lee and Kirby wanted to introduce a character that broke away from the archetype of the standard villain. Earth Lord Earth Sentry Earth Sentry (John Foster) was created by Tom DeFalco and Ron Frenz, and first appeared in ''A-Next'' #2 (1999) in the MC2 universe. When John and his father Bill were investigating a UFO crash site, they discovered a Kree space probe. Upon nearing the ship, the automated defenses activated, and a robotic sentry was released. Bill activated a distress signal which was picked up by Mainframe and the rest of A-Next. When the heroes arrived, a Sentry robot attacked them. Thunderstrike's sonic blasts and J2's superstrength were not slowing the attacker. Stinger was able to blind the robot's optic sensors with sting darts, providing an opening for John to enter the ship and try to turn off the robotic sentry.
