Amelia High School
Amelia High School was a public high school in the West Clermont Local School District in Clermont County, Ohio. It had an average daily student enrollment of approximately 1,100 in 2012. It held an "excellent" rating from the Ohio Department of Education. Amelia and Glen Este high schools closed after the 2016-17 school year and were replaced by a newly built West Clermont High School. Amelia and Glen Este middle schools were consolidated into the West Clermont Middle School on the former Amelia High School/Middle School property. International Baccalaureate
The International Baccalaureate (IB), formerly known as the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO), is a nonprofit foundation headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, and founded in 1968. It offers four educational programmes: the IB Diploma Programme and the IB Career-related Programme for students aged 15 to 19, the IB Middle Years Programme for students aged 11 to 16, and the IB Primary Years Programme for children aged 3 to 12. The Cincinnati Public School district includes 16 high schools, each accepting students on a citywide basis. The district includes many public Montessori schools, one of which, Clark Montessori, is the first public Montessori high school in the United States. The city and region is also home to a variety of other schools, both public and private. There are schools for gifted and accelerated students. WXIX-TV (channel 19) is a television station licensed to Newport, Kentucky, United States, serving the Cincinnati metro as the market's Fox affiliate. It is owned by Gray Television alongside low-power Cozi TV affiliate WBQC-LD (channel 25). WXIX-TV maintains studios at 19 Broadcast Plaza on Seventh Street in the Queensgate neighborhood just west of downtown Cincinnati, and its transmitter is located in the South Fairmount neighborhood on the city's northwest side. 2023 Doerman Killings
On June 15, 2023, in Monroe Township, Ohio, Clayton, Hunter, and Chase Doerman (ages seven, four and three respectively) were shot and killed at their home. The 34-year-old wife of the suspect was injured in the attack, and her daughter (the suspect's stepdaughter) was held at gunpoint but escaped unharmed. Police arrived and arrested 32-year-old Chad Doerman, the father of the three victims, and charged him with murder, felonious assault, and kidnapping. Doerman pleaded not guilty on June 23. Prosecution is seeking the death penalty. Events According to the bill of particulars, on June 15, 2023, Chad Doerman returned home early from work and requested that his three sons and wife join him in the primary bedroom for a nap. Joseph Michael Smith (born March 22, 1984) is an American professional baseball pitcher who is a free agent. He has played in MLB for the New York Mets, Cleveland Indians, Los Angeles Angels, Chicago Cubs, Toronto Blue Jays, Houston Astros, Seattle Mariners, and Minnesota Twins.
