Ambush In Leopard Street
''Ambush in Leopard Street'' is a low budget 1962 British black and white crime film directed by J. Henry Piperno. It stars James Kenney, Michael Brennan, and Bruce Seton. Premise A small time crook, Harry, plans one last job before he retires, but things do not go quite according to plan. With his sidekick Nimmo, the plan is to ambush a truck containing £500,000 of diamonds in Leopard Street, but heavy security means recruiting a larger criminal gang than usual, and the inexperienced newcomers may derail Harry's scheme. The car used by the gang at the beginning of the film is a 1959 Opel Olympia Caravan 2 door station wagon. Michael Brennan (25 September 1912 – 29 June 1982) was an English film and television actor. Born in London, Brennan was married to actress Mary Hignett. Bruce Seton
Sir Bruce Lovat Seton, 11th Baronet (29 May 1909 – 28 September 1969) was a British actor and soldier. He is best remembered for his eponymous lead role in ''Fabian of the Yard''. Early life Bruce Lovat Seton was born in Simla, British India, the younger of two sons of Lieutenant-Colonel Sir Bruce Gordon Seton of Abercorn (1868–1934), 9th Baronet and his wife, Elma Armstrong (died 1960). He was educated at Edinburgh Academy and then trained at the Royal Military College, Sandhurst. Military career Seton was commissioned into the Black Watch in 1929 as a second lieutenant, but resigned his commission in 1932. A brief interruption in his acting career came during the Second World War and in November 1939 he held the rank of captain in the 10th Battalion, Cameronians (Scottish Rifles), ending the war as major (temporary). Wilfred Burns
Wilfred Burns (1917- 25 September 1990) was a British composer of film scores. Born Bernard Wilfred Harris he was severely wounded in WW2 in 1940. Shot in the left elbow, right hand and left eye he eventually recovered from his injuries and remained a POW until repatriated on medical grounds in 1943. His recovery involved dealing with the complete loss of his left eye along with restoring vision to his right. The injury to his left elbow left that arm shorter than his right and the injury to his right hand required therapy to restore strength and dexterity to the fingers. Norman John Frank Rodway (7 February 1929 – 13 March 2001) was an Anglo-Irish actor. Early life Rodway was born at the family home, Elsinore (named after the castle where Shakespeare's ''Hamlet'' is set), on Coliemore Road, Dalkey, Dublin, to Lillian Sybil (née Moyles) and Frank Rodway, who ran a shipping agency. His parents were English, and had moved to Dublin two years before he was born because his father had been posted there for work.
