Amber Neilson (born 14 December 1984) is an Australian retired soccer player who played for Newcastle Jets in the Australian W-League. Playing career Club career Neilson played for Newcastle Jets in the Australian W-League. Neilson retired from football after the final game of the 2010–11 W-League season. Before the 2014 season, Neilson came out of retirement, re-signing with Newcastle Jets. At the end of the season she returned to retirement. International career She played three matches at the 2002 FIFA U-19 Women's World Championship The 2002 FIFA U-19 Women's World Championship was held from 17 August to 1 September. Newcastle United Jets Football Club, commonly known as Newcastle Jets, is an Australian professional soccer club based in Newcastle, New South Wales. A-League Women (known as the Liberty A-League for sponsorship reasons), formerly the W-League, is the top-division women's soccer league in Australia. The W-League was established in 2008 by Football Australia (then known as Football Federation Australia) and was originally composed of eight teams of which seven had an affiliation with an existing A-League Men club. As of the 2021–22 season, the league is contested by ten teams. The league, as well as the A-League Men and A-League Youth are administered by the Australian Professional Leagues.
