Amarna letter EA 23, titled: ''"A Goddess Travels to Egypt"'', is a short letter to Pharaoh from Tushratta. Due to the ill health of Pharaoh, a statue of Goddess Šauška is being sent to Egypt, to aid in the health of Pharaoh. The cuneiform ta sign is a common, multi-use sign of the ''Epic of Gilgamesh'', the 1350 BC Amarna letters, and other cuneiform texts. It also has a sumerogrammic usage for TA, for example in the ''Epic of Gilgamesh'', for Akkadian language ''"ultu"'', English language for ''from'', or ''since'', but in only (1) location in the 12 tablet ''Epic of Gilgamesh''. Ti (cuneiform)
Cuneiform TI or TÌL (Borger 2003 nr. ; U+122FE 𒋾) has the main meaning of "life" when used ideographically. The written sign developed from the drawing of an arrow, since the words meaning "arrow" and "life" were pronounced similarly in the Sumerian language. With the determinative UZU 𒍜 "flesh, meat", UZUTI, it means "rib". This homophony is exploited in the myth of Ninti (𒊩𒌆𒋾 NIN.TI "lady of life" or "lady of the rib"), created by Ninhursag to cure the ailing Enki. Since Eve is called "mother of life" in Genesis, together with her being taken from Adam's ''tsela`'' "side, rib", the story of Adam and Eve has sometimes been considered to derive from that of Ninti. The cuneiform sign ši, lim, and Sumerogram IGI is a common-use sign of the Amarna letters, the ''Epic of Gilgamesh,'' and other cuneiform texts. LÚ (man Sumerogram)
The cuneiform sign LÚ () is the sign used for "man"; its complement is the symbol for woman: '' šal'' (). Cuneiform ''LÚ'', (or ''lú'' as rendered in some texts) is found as a Sumerogram in the ''Epic of Gilgamesh''. It also has a common usage in the 1350 BC Amarna letters as the Sumerogram for "man". In the ''Epic of Gilgamesh'', ''LÚ'' is only used as the Sumerogram, ''LÚ''-(58 times). Both ''lú'', for "man", and ''šal'' for "woman" are also considered as determinatives. The cuneiform ù sign ('u, no. 3'), is found in both the 14th century BC Amarna letters and the ''Epic of Gilgamesh''. Its use is as a conjunction, (translated as for example: ''and, but, else, until,'' etc.), but rarely it is substituted for ''alphabetic u'', but that vowel ''u'' is typically represented by 'u, no. 2', (u prime), ú; occasionally 'u, no. 1', ( u (cuneiform)), , (mostly used for a conjunction, and ''numeral 10''), is also substituted for the "alphabetic u". The use of ''ù'' is often as a "stand-alone" conjunction, for example between two listed items, but it is used especially as a segue in text, (example Amarna letters), when changing topics, or when inserting segue-pausing positions. The cuneiform ma sign, is found in both the 14th century BC Amarna letters and the ''Epic of Gilgamesh''. In the Epic it is also used as the Sumerogram MA, (for Akkadian language "mina", ''manû'', a weight measure, as MA.NA, or MA.NA.ÀM). The ''ma'' sign is often used at the end of words, besides its alphabetic usage inside words as syllabic ''ma'', elsewhere for ''m'', or ''a''.
