Amarnah ( ar, تل العمارة, Tal al-'Amārat; ku, Emarnê) or Amarine ( ar, عمارنة, Âmārenah, tr, Amarine), also referred to as Tal al-Amara, is a Turkmen village in northern Aleppo Governorate, northern Syria. Situated on the northern Manbij Plain, bordering the Jarabulus Plain's wetlands towards river Euphrates, the village is located about halfway between Jarabulus and the lower course of Sajur River, and about south of the border to the Turkish province of Gaziantep. With 1,050 inhabitants, as per the 2004 census, Amarnah administratively belongs to Nahiya Jarabulus within Jarabulus District. Sajur River
The Sajur River ( ar, نهر الساجور, Nahr as-Sājūr ; tr, Sacır Suyu) is a long river originating in Turkey and flowing into the Euphrates in Syria. It is the smallest of the three rivers joining the Euphrates in Syria, and the only one that joins the Euphrates on its western bank. Manbij plain ( ar, سهل منبج ) is a vast plain on the eastern Aleppo plateau in northern Syria and southeastern Turkey. The plain runs along the western bank of river Euphrates for approximately 140 km from Nizip to Maskanah, with an average width of 15–30 km. It is located within the Manbij and Jarābulus districts of Aleppo Governorate in Syria, and the Nizip and Karkamış districts of Gaziantep Province in Turkey.
