Amarendra Pratap Singh
Amrendra Pratap Singh is an Indian politician and a member of the Bihar Legislative Assembly serving as a minister in the Government of Bihar. He is the grandson of Harihar Singh, the former Chief Minister of Bihar. Early and Personal Life Singh was born in Chaugain village of the Shahabad district (now in Buxar) to Harihar Singh also known as Bihari Ji Singh. His grand father was a freedom fighter and the Chief Minister of Bihar and his elder brother Mrigendra Pratap Singh was the Finance minister and speaker of the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly. Harihar Singh
Harihar Singh or Bihari Ji Singh (1925-1994) was an Indian politician and a former Chief Minister of Bihar. He succeeded Bhola Paswan Shashtri, as the Chief Minister of Bihar in 1969. Harihar Singh's tenure as Chief Minister lasted just a few months – he led an INC-led coalition government and all six members of Soshit Dal, a constituent party of the coalition, defected to the Opposition during a budget session of the Bihar Assembly. The Janata Party ( JP, lit. ''People's Party'') was a political party that was founded as an amalgam of Indian political parties opposed to the Emergency that was imposed between 1975 and 1977 by Prime Minister Indira Gandhi of the Indian National Congress. In the 1977 general election, the party defeated the Congress and Janata leader Morarji Desai became the first non-Congress prime minister in independent modern India's history. Raj Narain, a socialist leader, had filed a legal writ alleging electoral malpractice against Indira Gandhi in 1971. The JP movement also known as Bihar Movement was a political movement initiated by students in the Indian state of Bihar in 1974 and led by the veteran Gandhian socialist Jayaprakash Narayan, popularly known as JP, against misrule and corruption in the state government. Jayaprakash Narayan (; 11 October 1902 – 8 October 1979), popularly referred to as JP or ''Lok Nayak'' (Hindi for "People's leader"), was an Indian independence activist, theorist, socialist and political leader. He is remembered for leading the mid-1970s opposition against Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, for whose overthrow he had called for a "Bihar Movement, total revolution". The Chief Minister of Jharkhand is the chief executive of the Indian state of Jharkhand. In accordance with the Constitution of India, the governor is a state's ''de jure'' head, but ''de facto'' executive authority rests with the chief minister. Raghubar Das (born 3 May 1955) is an Indian politician who served as the sixth Chief Minister of Jharkhand. He was sworn in as the 6th chief minister of Jharkhand on 28 December 2014. He belongs to Bharatiya Janata Party and has twice served as the president of Jharkhand BJP. Currently he is the National Vice President of BJP.
