Amardeep Singh Aujla
Lieutenant General Amardeep Singh Aujla (born 3 December 1966) UYSM, YSM, SM, VSM is an Indian Army General serving as the current Master General Sustenance (MGS) of the Indian Army. Prior to his appointment as the Master General Sustenance (MGS), the General served as General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Srinagar-based Chinar Corps(XV). Early life and education Aujla hails from Mohali, Punjab and is an alumnus of Indian Military Academy, Dehradun. Lt Gen Aujla has attended highly regarded career courses including the Defence Services Staff College, Wellington, Higher Command Course at Army War College, Mhow and National Defence College, New Delhi. He holds M Phil in Defence and Strategic Studies from Devi Ahilya University, Indore and also from Madras University, Chennai. 50th Independence Anniversary Medal
The 50th Independence Anniversary Medal was issued to commemorate the historic occasion of 50 years of the independence of India. and is authorised for all Armed Forces personnel borne on strength as on 15 August 1997. 75th Independence Anniversary Medal (India)
The 75th Independence Anniversary Medal was issued to commemorate the historic occasion of 75 years of the Indian independence movement, independence of India. Criteria The medal was issued by the Government of India through a Presidential Notification for all personnel of Armed Forces, Central Armed Police Forces, Fire Service, Personnel of Central Police Organisations, Railway Protection Force and all state police forces borne on strength on 15 August 2022. Design The medal is circular in shape and made of cupro-nickel. It is 35 mm in diameter and will have Lion Capital of Ashoka on the front. The back will have the Ashoka Chakra with the words ''75th Anniversary of Independence'' along with ''1947-2022''. The ribbon is blue coloured and has the colours of the national flag in the middle.
