''Amar Deep'' is a 1979 Bollywood romantic drama film directed by R. Krishnamurthy and K. Vijayan and produced by K. Balaji. The film stars Rajesh Khanna in the lead role supported by Vinod Mehra, Shabana Azmi and introduces new actress Deepa. The lyrics were written by Anand Bakshi and the music was composed by Laxmikant-Pyarelal. The film was a remake of Tamil film ''Dheepam'' which itself was a remake of Malayalam film ''Theekkanal''. Amardeep was a silver jubilee hit on its release. Plot Raja is adopted by a don at a young age. After the don's death, Raja inherits his property. However, wealth and power make him arrogant. ''Amar Deep'' () is a 1958 Indian Hindi-language romantic drama film directed by T. Prakash Rao, under Sivaji Productions. The film stars Dev Anand, Vyjayanthimala, Padmini, Ragini, Johnny Walker, Pran, Om Prakash. The film's music was composed by C. Ramchandra. Amar Kaleka
Amardeep Singh Kaleka (born 12 July 1978) is an Indian-American film director who won a regional Emmy Award for his direction of the short film '' Jacob's Turn'' in 2010 and another one for Esperanza (2014). Following his father's death in the Wisconsin Sikh temple shooting in 2012, Kaleka became involved in politics, supporting gun control, progressive economic reform, and the peace agenda. ''Amara Deepam'' () is a 1956 Indian Tamil language, Tamil-language romantic drama film directed by T. Prakash Rao. A remake of the 1942 American film ''Random Harvest (film), Random Harvest'', it stars Sivaji Ganesan, Savitri (actress), Savitri and Padmini (actress), Padmini.
