Amar Goswami
Amar Goswami ( hi, अमर गोस्वामी; 28 November 1945 – 26 June 2012) was a senior journalist and one of the prominent fiction writers of Hindi literature. His work includes satires, short stories, poems, novels, novelettes and translations from Bengali to Hindi. He was associated with Kathantar, Vikalp, Aagamikal, Sampa, Manorama, Ganga, Sunday Observer (Hindi), Bharti Features, Uxhur Bharat, Bharatiya Jnanpith, Remadhav Publications. His stories have been aired on All India Radio and short films have been made on his stories. Biography Early life He was born in Multan (undivided India) in one of the affluent Brahmin families. At the age of 2, his family moved from Multan (now in Pakistan) to Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh. Naresh Mehta
Naresh Mehta (15 February 1922 - 22 November 2000) was a Hindi writer. There are over 50 published works in his name, ranging from poetry to plays. He received several literary awards, most notably the Sahitya Akademi Award in Hindi in 1988 for his poetry collection '' Aranya '' and the Jnanpith Award in 1992. Among the numerous schools of poetry which sprang up in the 1950s was ''Nakenwad'', a school deriving its nomenclature from the first letters of the names of its three pioneers - Nalin Vilochan Sharma Pandit Nalin Vilochan Sharma (18 February 1916 – 12 September 1961) was a professor of Hindi Literature in University of Patna. Taslima Nasrin
Taslima Nasrin (born 25 August 1962) is a Bangladeshi-Swedish writer, physician, feminist, secular humanist, and activist. She is known for her writing on women's oppression and criticism of religion. Some of her books are banned in Bangladesh. She has also been blacklisted and banished from the Bengal region (both from Bangladesh and West Bengal state of India). She gained global attention by the beginning of 1990s owing to her essays and novels with feminist views and criticism of what she characterizes as all "misogynistic" religions. Nasrin has been living in exile since 1994, with multiple fatwas calling for her death. After living more than a decade in Europe and the United States, she moved to India in 2004, but was banished from the country in 2008, although she has been staying in India on a resident permit long-term, multiple-entry or 'X' visa since 2004. Rabindranath Tagore
Rabindranath Tagore (; bn, রবীন্দ্রনাথ ঠাকুর; 7 May 1861 – 7 August 1941) was a Bengali polymath who worked as a poet, writer, playwright, composer, philosopher, social reformer and painter. He reshaped Bengali literature and music as well as Indian art with Contextual Modernism in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. National Book Trust (NBT) is an Indian publishing house, which was founded in 1957 as an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education of the Government of India.
