Amangeldy Mursadıkoviç Muraliev ( ky, Амангелди Мурсадыкович Муралиев; born August 7, 1947) is a Kyrgyz politician. He was the chairman of executive committee of council of people's deputies (i.e. the city's mayor) in Frunze in 1988–91, minister of economy and finance in 1991–92, chairman of the State Committee on Economy in 1993–94, chairman of the State Property Fund in 1994–96, governor of Osh Province in 1996–1999, Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan from April 13, 1999, to December 21, 2000, and president of the Kyrgyz Stock Exchange in 2001–04. The Kyrgyz Stock Exchange (KSE) was founded in 1994. Until 2000 the exchange functioned in the form of a non-profit membership organization with a total membership of 16. In May 2000 the KSE was transformed into a joint stock company. In 2001 the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange became a shareholder. Later, a 24.51% share in KSE waacquiredby Borsa Instanbul. Bishkek
Bishkek ( ky, Бишкек), ), formerly Pishpek and Frunze, is the capital and largest city of Kyrgyzstan. Bishkek is also the administrative centre of the Chüy Region. The region surrounds the city, although the city itself is not part of the region but rather a region-level unit of Kyrgyzstan. Bishkek is situated near the Kazakhstan–Kyrgyzstan border. Its population was 1,074,075 in 2021. In 1825, the Khanate of Kokand established the fortress of Pishpek to control local caravan routes and to collect tribute from Kyrgyz tribes. On 4 September 1860, with the approval of the Kyrgyz, Russian forces led by Colonel Apollon Zimmermann destroyed the fortress. In the present day, the fortress ruins can be found just north of Jibek jolu street, near the new main mosque.
