Amal Al Zahawi
Amal A. Al Zahawi (Arabic: آمال الزهاوي) (1946 – 13 February 2015) was an Iraqi poet and writer. She was born in Baghdad and graduated from the University of Baghdad. She published her works in various Arabic magazines and started her career in the sixties. Some of her poetry collections include "The Commando and The Beast" in 1969, "Those Who Venture Seas of Death" in 1970 and "A Circle in The Light, A Circle in The Dark" in 1975. Al Zahawi was an active writer in literature. She had also written many political articles for the Arabic press. Amal Al Zahawi died at the age of 71, after suffering a stroke in Baghdad. She was buried in Shuhadaa Al-Adhamiyah Cemetery in Baghdad. Lineage She is Amal Abdulqadir Saleh Muhammad Faydi Al-Zahawi. The poet's lineage goes back to the Al-Zahawi family, which is known both politically and literally in Iraq. Baghdad
Baghdad (; ar, بَغْدَاد , ) is the capital of Iraq and the second-largest city in the Arab world after Cairo. Paralysis (also known as plegia) is a loss of motor function in one or more muscles. Paralysis can also be accompanied by a loss of feeling (sensory loss) in the affected area if there is sensory damage. Amira Nur Al-Din
Amira Nur al-Din Daoud (1925 – April 2020) was an Iraqi poet. Born in Baghdad. After completing her secondary education, she joined Fuad I University in Cairo in 1943, and BA in Arabic Language and Literature in 1947, and a master's degree from the same university in 1957. She worked as a teacher of Arabic in secondary schools, then at the Faculty of Arts of Baghdad, then dean of the Institute of Applied Arts. Published her poetry in many Iraqi and Arab magazines and newspapers. Life Amira bint Nur al-Din/Noureddine Daoud was born in Baghdad into a family originally from Mosul, Her father came to Baghdad in the late Ottoman era for education. Nazik Al-Malaika
Nazik al-Malaika ( ar, نازك الملائكة; 23 August 1923 – 20 June 2007) was an Iraqi poet. Al-Malaika is noted for being among the first Arabic poets to use free verse. Early life and career Al-Malaika was born in Baghdad to a cultured family. Her mother was also a poet, and her father was a teacher. She wrote her first poem at the age of 10. Al-Malaika graduated in 1944 from the College of Arts in Baghdad and later completed a master's degree in comparative literature at the University of Wisconsin–Madison with a Degree of Excellence. She entered the Institute of Fine Arts and graduated from the Department of Music in 1949. In 1959 she earned a Master of Arts in Comparative Literature from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in the United States, and she was appointed professor at the University of Baghdad, the University of Basrah, and Kuwait University.
