AmD Essex
AmD Technik Essex (also known as Automotive Developments) is a British car tuning company and auto racing team. The team currently competes in the British Touring Car Championship under the MB Motorsport accelerated by Blue Square banner. History The company was formed in 1987, specialising in the Volkswagen-Audi marque, forming their own VW-backed race team in 1990. They went on to win many championships with AmD-built and tuned Volkswagen Golfs. The company now offers tuning parts for most European cars. For the 2008 & 2009 seasons, AmD ran SEAT Leóns in the Dunlop Sportmaxx Cup and won the championship in 2009, with Simon Shaw driving. Shaun Hollamby
Shaun Hollamby (born 4 December 1965 in Pembury, Kent) is a British auto racing driver and race team owner. He is the managing director of AmD Tuning, a performance tuning company and motor racing team based in West Thurrock, Essex. He also currently competes in a part-time effort in the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series and Historic F3 and FFord. In 2010–2013, he has run and driven a Volkswagen Golf in the British Touring Car Championship with various drivers for his own team AmD Tuning. AmD then switched to a Ford Focus in the BTCC in 2014–2015 with Dave Newsham and Mike Bushell and also an Audi S3 for Nicolas Hamilton in 2015. Ollie Jackson
Oliver Jackson (born 26 April 1984 in Whitechapel, London) is a British racing driver who currently competes in the British Touring Car Championship. Personal life Ollie Jackson is from Reigate, Surrey and was educated at Epsom College. He then obtained a BSc in Computer Information Systems from the University of Bath and an MSc in Automotive Product Engineering from Cranfield University. His current occupation is Chief Engineer for Controlled Braking at Alcon Specialist Brakes and Clutches in Tamworth, Staffordshire. 2011 British Touring Car Championship
The 2011 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship was the 54th British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) season. Cars conforming to the Next Generation Touring Car (NGTC) specification were allowed to compete in the championship for the first time, in a phased transition from Super 2000 specification to the NGTC specification. The season was also the final time that cars built to the BTC Touring specification were allowed to compete, ending the specification's decade of competition in the BTCC. Team Dynamics' Matt Neal claimed his third BTCC title after finishing 8th in the final round of the season, two places ahead of teammate and rival Gordon Shedden, who was beaten to the title by eight points. 2010 British Touring Car Championship
The 2010 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship season was the 53rd British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) season. It began at Thruxton Circuit on 4 April and finished after 30 races over ten events at Brands Hatch on 10 October. RML Chevrolet driver Jason Plato claimed the championship with a win in the penultimate race of the season leading home season long rival, Honda Racing Team's Matt Neal. On his way to his second BTCC crown, Plato claimed seven victories through the course of the season compared to Neal's five wins. The final victory margin was 31 points. Neal's teammate Gordon Shedden also had a shot at the title heading into the final round but a broken driveshaft immediately prior to the start of Race 2 at Brands Hatch left him too far adrift and he finished the title 42 points behind Plato. Motorbase Performance is a British motor racing team, founded in 2004 by former Production Saloon racer David Bartrum. They are best known for competing in the British Touring Car Championship. Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain The team started out by contesting the 2004 Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain, finishing second in the teams championship despite their best-known driver Damien Faulkner only joining mid-season. However, the 2005 season proved difficult with no wins and poor points performance. 2006 saw the team enter both the Pro class and the newly established Pro-Am class. Mark Blundell
Mark Blundell (born 8 April 1966) is a British racing driver who competed in Formula One for four seasons, sports cars, and CART. He won the 1992 24 Hours of Le Mans. He was a Formula One presenter for the British broadcaster ITV until the end of the 2008 season when the TV broadcasting rights switched to the BBC. Blundell returned to the track in 2019, driving in the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship for the Trade Price Cars team. Background Blundell was born in Barnet, London. Martin Byford
Martin Byford (born 27 May 1972) is a British racing driver from Colchester. He competed in the BTCC in 2011 for AmD Milltek. He is currently driving for BPM Motorsport in the 2019 Dunlop Endurance Championship with Ashley Woodman. Racing career Byford began racing in single seaters, mainly in Formula Ford and Formula 3 cars. He later moved onto tin tops, racing in several club series. He moved into the British GT Championship in 2000, where he achieved a few podium finishes. For 2001 he raced in the Renault Clio Cup UK, finishing 3rd in the championship after a successful debut season. Tom Onslow-Cole
Thomas Michael Onslow-Cole (born 16 May 1987 in Kingston, Surrey ) is a British auto racing driver. He won the International GT Open in Pro-Am category in 2018 and in 2019 and the 24H Series in 2015. It was announced in April 2014 that he would not be returning to the British Touring Car Championship for 2014 and instead entered the British GT Championship driving in a factory-supported Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3. Baltic Touring Car Championship
The Baltic Touring Car Championship or BaTCC is a touring car racing series held each year in the Baltic states. The championship is regulated by a board containing two representatives each from the automobile associations of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. Eligible cars for the championship have often changed over recent years. In 2022 there are class entries for TCR, GT classes, Touring car classes(up to 1600ccm, up to 2000ccm, up to 3000ccm and up to 4000ccm), V1600 and mono class BMW 325 CUP. BaTCC championship is held together with Baltic Endurance Championship or BEC 6H. Teams participate in 6 hour endurance races in different racing categories.
