Alí Cañas
José Alí Cañas Navas (born 19 June 1960) is a Venezuelan football Manager (association football), manager and former player who played as a Forward (association football), forward. He is the current manager of Zamora F.C., Zamora. Cañas is the youngest Venezuelan to feature in a Copa Libertadores match, playing at the age of 15 in the 1976 Copa Libertadores, 1976 edition. He is also the only Venezuelan manager to take part of a FIFA World Cup, after being an assistant of Ratomir Dujković in the Ghana national football team, Ghana national team for the 2006 FIFA World Cup, 2006 edition. Enrique Ricardo Maggiolo Díaz (born 16 September 1974) is a Venezuelan football manager, currently in charge of Zamora. Career Born in Caracas, Maggiolo started his career at Colegio La Salle La Colina before joining C.S. Colegio San Agustín El Paraíso in 1998. 2018 Venezuelan Primera División Season
The 2018 Primera División season, officially Liga de Fútbol Profesional Venezolano or ''Liga FUTVE'', was the 37th professional season of Venezuela's top-flight football league. Monagas were the defending champions, but did not qualify to the Serie Final, after being eliminated in the regular season of the Torneo Apertura and by Caracas in the quarter-finals of the Torneo Clausura. Zamora were the champions, defeating Deportivo Lara on the Serie Final, 5–1 on aggregate. Teams Stadia and locations Gran Valencia reached the final of the Segunda División and earned promotion to the Primera División, but the team was suspended "temporarily" by the Honorary Council of the FVF after forfeiting the second leg of the final. José Omar Pastoriza (23 May 1942 – 2 August 2004) was a football player and manager. A midfielder, he played for Independiente, AS Monaco, and the Argentina national team. As a manager, he managed the Venezuela national team among other teams. Playing career ''El Pato'' ("The Duck") Pastoriza was born in Rosario, and started his career in Rosario Central, but gained renown with Colón de Santa Fe. He moved to Racing Club, but was transferred to rival Independiente after 53 matches due to a poor team performance and the precarious economic situation.
