Alesia was the capital of the Mandubii, one of the Gallic tribes allied with the Aedui. The Celtic ''oppidum'' was conquered by Julius Caesar during the Gallic Wars and afterwards became a Gallo-Roman town. Modern understanding of its location was controversial for a long time; however, it is now thought to have been located on Mont-Auxois, near Alise-Sainte-Reine in Burgundy, France. Owsla (stylized in all caps) is an American record label and creative collective. It was founded by Skrillex, Tim Smith, Kathryn Frazier, and Clayton Blaha in 2011. ''Helvetios'' is the fifth studio album by Swiss folk metal band Eluveitie. The album was released 10 February 2012 through Nuclear Blast. The CD was recorded at New Sound Studio in Pfäffikon, a municipality in the canton of Schwyz in Switzerland, with producer Tommy Vetterli. It was the last album to include violinist Meri Tadić and guitarist Simeon Koch. Concept Being the band's first concept album, it focuses on the Gallic Wars from a perspective of the ancient Helvetians. The Battle of Alesia or Siege of Alesia (September 52 BC) was a military engagement in the Gallic Wars around the Gallic '' oppidum'' (fortified settlement) of Alesia in modern France, a major centre of the Mandubii tribe. It was fought by the Roman army of Julius Caesar against a confederation of Gallic tribes united under the leadership of Vercingetorix of the Arverni. It was the last major engagement between Gauls and Romans, and is considered one of Caesar's greatest military achievements and a classic example of siege warfare and investment; the Roman army built dual lines of fortificationsan inner wall to keep the besieged Gauls in, and an outer wall to keep the Gallic relief force out. Alésia () is a station of the Paris Métro on line 4 in the 14th arrondissement situated in Petit-Montrouge quarter. Location The station is located under the Place Victor-et-Hélène-Basch and its surroundings, dominated by the Saint-Pierre-de-Montrouge church. It is located at the intersection of Avenue du Maine, Avenue General Leclerc and Rue d'Alésia, between the Porte d'Orleans and Mouton-Duvernet metro stations.
