Alycia Baumgardner (born 24 May 1994) is an American professional boxer. She has held the WBC and IBO female super featherweight titles since 2021, and the WBO, IBF, and ''The Ring'' female super featherweight titles since 2022. She became the undisputed female super featherweight champion of the world on February 5, 2023. Professional career In October 2021, it was announced that Baumgardner would face WBC and IBO female super featherweight champion Terri Harper on 13 November 2021, Utilita Arena Sheffield. The fight was aired live on DAZN in the US and across the world as part of the undercard for Kiko Martinez vs. Kid Galahad. Baumgardner defeated Harper via a fourth round technical knockout. During the fight she dominated the second round and then caught Harper with a vicious right hand in the fourth, resulting in her going unbalanced with her whole body stiffened, which caused the referee to jump in to stop the bout. Terri Harper (born 2 November 1996) is a British professional boxer and current WBA and IBO Super-Welterweight champion. She is also the former super-featherweight world champion, having held the IBO female title from 2019 to November 2021 and the WBC version from 2020 to November 2021. Following a brief amateur career, Harper made her professional debut in 2017. She won her first championship two years later, capturing the regional WBC International female lightweight title in 2019. Unanimous Decision
A unanimous decision (UD) is a winning criterion in several full-contact combat sports, such as boxing, kickboxing, Muay Thai, mixed martial arts and other sports involving striking and submission in which all three judges agree on which fighter won the match. In boxing, each of the three judges keep score (round by round) of which fighter they feel is winning (and losing). This only includes landed blows to the head or the body. In MMA, judges look for different criteria such as kicks, take downs, punches, knees, elbows, cage control, submission attempts and aggression. A decision is not required to be unanimous for a boxer or mixed martial artist to be given a victory. Chris van Heerden (born 19 June 1987) is a South African professional boxer and a former IBO welterweight champion. Early life Van Heerden grew up in Meyerton, Gauteng. Professional career Van Heerden started his professional career in 2006. He quickly emerged as a top fighter in the African continent, which he subsequently proved by snapping South African and ABU welterweight titles. In professional boxing, the undisputed champion of a weight class is the boxer who holds world titles from all of the major sanctioning organisations simultaneously.
