Alya Bakhshal
Alya Bakhshal (Urdu: عالیہ بخشل, Born: June 3, 1978 - ) is a Pakistani feminist, political worker and organizer. She is general secretary of the Women Democratic Front and women secretary of Awami Workers Party, Sindh. Politics Bakhshal is a socialist feminist organizer belonging from Khairpur Mirs, Sindh, Pakistan and currently living in Hyderabad, Sindh. Awami Workers Party Bakhshal is a senior and leading member of the Awami Workers Party (AWP) and is serving as women secretary AWP Sindh. Feminism Women Action Forum Bakhshal’s political struggle and feminism started when she joined Women's Action Forum. Later she joined Awami Workers Party. International Women's Day
International Women's Day (IWD) is a global holiday celebrated annually on March 8 as a focal point in the women's rights movement, bringing attention to issues such as gender equality, reproductive rights, and violence and abuse against women. A woman is an adult female human. Prior to adulthood, a female human is referred to as a girl (a female child or adolescent). The plural ''women'' is sometimes used in certain phrases such as "women's rights" to denote female humans regardless of age. Aurat Azadi March
The Aurat Azadi March ( ur, , lit=Women's Emancipation March) was started in 2018 in Pakistan by members of Women Democratic Front (socialist-feminist organization), other organizations like Women's Action Forum (Women's rights organization), Elimination of Violence against Women and Girls alliance, Young Teachers Association, Home-Based Women Workers Union, Awami Workers Party, Awami Jamhoori Party also joined the march on International Women's Day (March 8, 2018) in Islamabad. Women Democratic Front
Women Democratic Front (WDF) is an independent socialist-feminist organization based in Pakistan. It was founded in the federal capital Islamabad on March 8, 2018, by hundreds of delegates from Sindh, Balochistan, Punjab and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. WDF aims to unite women across the country to build a socialist feminist movement to transform the International Women's Day celebration in Pakistan into real means of action.
