Alvito D'Cunha
Alvito Ronaldo Correia D'Cunha (born 12 July 1978, in Sanvordem) is a retired Indian football player. He was a former member of the India national team and represented India in the 2002 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. He spent most of his club career in East Bengal. Playing career He played for East Bengal as a left winger for a long span of 14 seasons. He retired at the start of 2016 season as the club had not included D'Cunha in the squad. He previously played for two renowned Goan sides Salgaocar SC (1998–2002), and Sesa SC (1997–1998). He made a start after a few years for East Bengal against Kalighat Milan Sangha F.C. in the inaugural match of the Calcutta Premier Division 2013, where he scored from a penalty on the 15th minute, and assisted his state-mate Joaquim Abranches with a forward through pass to score his first goal for the Kolkata-based side. ASEAN Club Championship
The ASEAN Club Championship or ACC is an international club football competition organised by the ASEAN Football Federation between domestic champion clubs. The competition is backed by AFC and FIFA. The first edition was sponsored by LG Electronics, which was also known as LG Cup Asean Club Football Championship. Qualification to the competition was for champions clubs from AFF-affiliated countries only, plus the champions from India in 2003. History The ASEAN Club Championship was first held as biannual tournament in 2003 and 2005, but failed to gain traction due to lack of sponsors and conflict with the main calendar of the Asian Football Confederation. 2005 South Asian Football Federation Gold Cup
The 2005 South Asian Football Federation Cup was the sixth edition of South Asian Football Federation Cup. It was the second time the competition was held in Pakistan. The tournament was played in two cities, Islamabad and Karachi with People's Football Stadium in Karachi hosting group-stages and Jinnah Sports Stadium in Islamabad hosting knock-out rounds and the finals. The tournament started on 7 December and ended on 17 December. India won their fourth title after defeating Bangladesh 2–0 in the finals. Both sides contested the finals in the 1999 edition with India coming out victorious with the same result and Bhaichung Bhutia scored in that finals as well. IFA Shield
The IFA Shield is an annual football competition organized by the Indian Football Association. The IFA is the governing body of football in the state of West Bengal, came into existence in 1893. Named after the association, the IFA Shield tournament was started in the same year. It is the third oldest football tournament in India, after Durand Cup and Trades Cup, and the one of the oldest football competitions in the world. The royal houses of Patiala and Cooch Behar, A.A. The 2012 Indian Federation Cup was the 34th season of the top knock-out competition in India. The qualifiers started in August while the Final Round took place from 19 September 2012 to 30 September 2012. Salgaocar were the defending champions, having beaten East Bengal 3–1 in the 2011 Final. The Federation Cup (also known as Hero Federation Cup for sponsorship reasons) was an annual knockout football competition in Indian football which started in 1977. From its inception, until I-League was started in 1997 (then called NFL), it was the most prestigious national level club football tournament in India.
