Altorado is a ghost town in the County of Forty Mile No. 8, Alberta, Canada. The community was originally settled during the creation of a Canadian Pacific Railway line from Weyburn, Saskatchewan to Stirling, Alberta in an attempt to profit from railway trade. Weyburn is the eleventh-largest city in Saskatchewan, Canada. The city has a population of 10,870. It is on the Souris River southeast of the provincial capital of Regina and is north from the North Dakota border in the United States. Foremost is a village in Alberta, Canada. It is located southwest of Medicine Hat, along the Alberta Highway 61, Red Coat Trail, in the County of Forty Mile No. 8. Foremost has a strong agriculture industry. Recreation facilities include an ice arena, swimming pool, curling rink, ice fishing, and ball diamonds.
