Sestriere (/se'strjɛre/) ( oc, Sestrieras, pms, Ël Sestrier, french: Sestrières) is a ski resort in Piedmont, Italy, a ''comune'' (municipality) of the Metropolitan City of Turin. Vanessa Vidal (born 21 December 1974) is a former Alpine skiing, alpine skier from France, who competed in the 2002 Winter Olympics and 2006 Winter Olympics. She is the sister of former Olympic slalom champion Jean-Pierre Vidal and the niece of former alpine skiers Jean-Noël Augert and Jean-Pierre Augert. Career Vidal, born in Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne, Savoie, made her debut in the Alpine Ski World Cup during the 1994–95 season, and was classified 104th overall. She won her first major championship in 1997, when she won the combined category of the French National Championship. Vidal's best World Cup finish came in the 1999–2000 season, when she was classified 35th; she also took a career-best fourth at Bormio during this season, in the slalom. Nika Fleiss (born 14 December 1984) is a Croatian former alpine skier. Fleiss was born in Brežice, at the time SR Slovenia, SFR Yugoslavia. She lives in Samobor. Having started skiing at the age of 3, her best results were in slalom. After several successful races in junior category, her first World Cup race was 27 October 2002 in Sölden. Manuela Mölgg (born 28 August 1983) is a retired alpine ski racer from Italy, a specialist in the technical events of slalom and giant slalom. Biography Born in Bruneck, South Tyrol, Mölgg made her World Cup debut at age 17 in December 2000 and gained her first podium in November 2004. She has 14 World Cup podium finishes and appeared in two Olympics and six World Championships. At the 2009 Alpine World Ski Championships in Val-d'Isère Mölgg took the lead in the slalom after the first run but was disqualified from the second after missing the final gate of the course, having kept her lead at the intermediate checkpoints before the finish line. She is the sister of Manfred Mölgg (b.1982), a racer on the Italian men's team. At the 2018 Winter Olympics of Pyeongchang she led after the first run of the giant slalom, and then finished the race in 8th position.
