Alphonse Tchami
Alphonse Marie Tchami Djomaha (born 14 September 1971) is a Cameroonian former professional footballer who played as a striker. At international level, he represented Cameroon at the 1994 and 1998 FIFA World Cups. Club career Born in Kekem, Tchami began his career in Cameroon with Unisport Bafang before moving to Danish club Vejle BK. In his short spell at Vejle he scored 8 goals in 15 games, but was unable to prevent the club being relegated. Tchami's spell at Vejle led to interest from other Danish clubs and Tchami eventually moved to Odense BK (OB). Tchami was a part of the OB team that defeated Real Madrid in the 1994–95 UEFA Cup third round by 4–3 on aggregate, earning a place in the quarter-finals. Tchami joined Argentinian club Boca Juniors shortly after the 1994 FIFA World Cup. In total Tchami played 50 games and scored 11 goals for Boca. Batouri
Batouri is a town and commune in the East Province of Cameroon. It is the second largest municipality in the province after the provincial capital Bertoua. It is located on the main (though unpaved) road connecting Bertoua to the Central African Republic and to the Cameroonian town of Yokadouma. It had an estimated 33,500 inhabitants as of 2012. People Batouri is mostly dominated by fulbe/fulani people and a large percentage of the population speaks the Fulani language fulfulde. However several other ethnic groups, such as the Baya, Yangélé, and the Mézimé are also native to the area. In addition there are many recent immigrants to the Batouri area. Many come from other parts of southern Cameroon and speak other Bantu languages. There is also a large Muslim population in town living mainly in the Mokolo quarter. The 1998 FIFA World Cup was the 16th FIFA World Cup, the football world championship for men's national teams. The finals tournament was held in France from 10 June to 12 July 1998. Joël Armel Tchami Ngalaha (born 25 March 1982) is a Cameroonian former professional footballer who played as a striker. Career Tchami was born in Bafang. He previously played for Stade Lavallois in France's Ligue 2. In January he joined Danish Superliga club AC Horsens from Israeli side Hapoel Kfar Saba after trialling with the club.
