Alpha Nyan
Alpha Nyan (born 19 June 1978) is a retired Norway, Norwegian football midfielder. He grew up in the club Strømsgodset Toppfotball, Strømsgodset IF and was fielded as a substitute in the 1996 Norwegian Football Cup, 1996 cup quarter-final. In 1997 he made his Eliteserien debut. He was seen as surplus, but after a period in neighbouring minnows SK Drafn he rejoined Strømsgodset in 2000, playing most games in the 2000 1. divisjon. However he only got 2 games in 2001 Tippeligaen and joined Grindvoll IL in 2002. After a miserable start in the 2002 2. divisjon he went on to Larvik Fotball in mid-season. He then played two seasons for IK Birkebeineren. In 2005, he joined Strømsgodset for a third stint. He only got 4 games in the 2005 1. divisjon, and joined another second-tier club Manglerud Star Toppfotball, Manglerud Star. Strømsgodset Toppfotball
Strømsgodset Toppfotball is a Norwegian professional association football, football club based in Gulskogen, Drammen, that competes in the Eliteserien (football), Eliteserien. It is the elite football section of the multi-sports club Strømsgodset IF. The multi-sports club was founded 10 February 1907, but the football team first found success in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Led by the young striker Steinar Pettersen and his team-mates, the «Rødgata Boys» (nicknamed after the street most of them lived on), Strømsgodset got promoted from the fourth tier to the top flight in just a few years. The team then went on to win the Eliteserien, top division in 1970 and the Norwegian Football Cup, Norwegian Cup in 1969, 1970, 1973. In the following decades, the club struggled more. Strømsgodset is a former municipality in Vestfold county (from 1964 Buskerud county), Norway, today a part of the city of Drammen. History Strømsgodset was originally a small rural annex to the city parish of Bragernes (Drammen). But since this annex belonged to the county of Vestfold, while the city belonged to the county of Buskerud, it had to be established as a formannskapsdistrikt of its own January 1, 1838. (The law of ''formannskapsdistrikt'' also required a division between cities and rural districts.)
