''Alpha Males'' is a Spanish comedy television series created by brother-and-sister team Alberto and Laura Caballero, for Netflix. It stars Fernando Gil, María Hervás, Raúl Tejón, Kira Miró, Gorka Otxoa, Paula Gallego, Fele Martínez, and Raquel Guerrero, and was produced by the Caballero siblings' own production company, Contubernio Films. The show premiered on 30 December 2022. In January 2023, the series was renewed for a second season. Synopsis The series follows four men in their forties who begin to notice their male privilege disappearing with social change and the empowerment of women, and they are forced to adapt, each in their own way. Alberto Caballero
Alberto Rodríguez Caballero (21 August 1973) is a Spanish TV director, screenwriter and producer. Career He is known as the creator of ''Aquí no hay quien viva'' (2003—2006) and his successor ''La que se avecina'' (2007—). His sister is Laura Caballero, with whom he directs and produces the series. From 2003 he adapted the dialogues in ''Aquí no hay quien viva''. From 2009, when Telecinco adapted it version, he became the executive producer with Esther Jiménez, and Daniel Deorador and Sergio Mitjans as the screenwriters. Since 2013 he maintains a relationship with the actress Miren Ibarguren known for representing Soraya in the Aída series and subsequently to Yolanda in which he is coming. ''La que se avecina'', is a Spanish television situation comedy created by Alberto Caballero, Laura Caballero and Daniel Deorador. The show is set in Mirador de Montepinar, a condominium located in the suburbs of Madrid. The show is an indirect successor to the Antena 3 comedy '' Aquí no hay quien viva''. The name is a pun on the verb "avecinarse", which means both "become neighbour to" and "approach", and is used in expression ''la que se avecina'' meaning "the trouble that is approaching", so it alludes both to being neighbours and the friction that exists between the characters. ''La que se avecina'' debuted on Telecinco, and was later rerun by the same network as well as cable/satellite channels FDF and Comedy Central España.
