Alpha Alpha
''Alpha Alpha'' was a 1972 German science fiction fantasy television series which aired on ZDF. It starred Karl Michael Vogler, Lilith Ungerer, Arthur Brauss and Horst Sachtleben. Each episode was only 25 minutes long; the series lasted only one season. Karl Michael Vogler played agent alpha of an unnamed secret organization, investigating mysteries, technical and psychic phenomena and even alien encounters. Karl Michael Vogler
Karl Michael Vogler (28 August 1928 – 9 June 2009) was a German actor, probably best known for his appearances in several big-budget English language films. In ''The Blue Max'' (1966), he co-starred with George Peppard and Ursula Andress as the squadron commander, and in ''Patton'' (1970), he portrayed General Erwin Rommel. In between, he was in Robert Redford's ''Downhill Racer'' (1969) as a ski company owner. Vogler primarily worked in German film and television, often typecast as authority figures. He was also an acclaimed stage actor, perhaps best remembered for playing Horatio to Maximilian Schell's ''Hamlet'' in 1960's Munich August Festival and a subsequent television adaptation. Born in Remscheid, Germany and brought up in Bregenz, Austria, Vogler was the son of a blacksmith. After graduation, he started his career as theatre actor and made his debut in Innsbruck in 1950. Horst Sachtleben (24 September 1930 – 23 May 2022) was a German actor, voice actor and stage director. He is known for his acting in ''Um Himmels Willen'', a television series in 197 episodes between 2002 and 2020. On stage, he was engaged at the Hebbel Theater in Berlin, Schauspielhaus Zürich and Bayerisches Staatsschauspiel in Munich. As a voice artist, he dubbed Peter Falk in ''Columbo'', Peter Fonda and Woody Allen, among others. Early life Sachtleben was born on 24 September 1930 in Berlin, Brandenburg, Prussia, Germany, where he undertook theater studies. He took acting classes at the same time. Lilith ( ; he, לִילִית, Līlīṯ) is a female figure in Mesopotamian and Judaic mythology, alternatively the first wife of Adam and supposedly the primordial she-demon. Lilith is cited as having been "banished" from the Garden of Eden for not complying with and obeying Adam.
