Aloysius Ahearn
Aloysius J. Ahearn (c. 1926 – April 30, 2020) was an American politician and educator. Ahearn served in the Connecticut House of Representatives from 1975 to 1977 and again from 1979 until 1981 as a member of the Democratic Party. Ahearn was born in Boston, Massachusetts, to Felix and Anna (née McCarron) Ahearn. He served in the United States Army during World War II and the Korean War. Ahearn taught at English at East Hartford High School from 1960 to 1991, as well as at Manchester Community College during his career as an educator. Manchester Memorial Hospital
Manchester Memorial Hospital is a 249-bed community hospital located in central Manchester, Connecticut, an eastern Connecticut community about 10 minutes east of Hartford. The hospital opened in 1920, and was dedicated as a memorial to all Manchester residents who died during the First World War. In 1970, the hospital was rededicated as a memorial to veterans of all wars. The hospital operates a family medicine residency training program for newly graduated osteopathic physicians. Bolton, Connecticut
Bolton ( ) is a small suburban town in Tolland County, Connecticut, United States. It is primarily residential with an economy made up mostly of small businesses. The high school typically has between fifty and one hundred students per grade. The population was 4,858 as of the 2020 census. Bolton was incorporated in October 1720 and is governed by town meeting, with a first selectman and board of selectman as well as other boards serving specific functions. Bolton was named after a town of the same name in England, also located near Manchester. History Originally part of the town of Hartford, the area was referred to as Hartford Mountains or Hanover, until incorporation in October 1720. On 11 November 1723, Jonathan Edwards was installed as the pastor of Bolton.
