"Alone in My Room" is a song by Skin, which was the first single to be released from Skin's second album, '' Fake Chemical State''. It was released as download only and the first single to be released from Skin since joining V2 Records. Deborah Anne Dyer (born 3 August 1967), known mononymously by the stage name Skin, is a British singer, songwriter and electronic music DJ. She is the lead vocalist of British rock band Skunk Anansie, a band often grouped as part of the Britrock movement in the UK and gained attention for her powerful, wide-ranging soprano voice and striking look. In 2015, she joined the judging panel of the Italian version of the talent show ''The X Factor'' for one season, and 2016 was on the cover of the UK lesbian magazine ''Diva''. V2 Records (or V2 Music; V2 being an abbreviation for Virgin 2) is a record label that was purchased by Universal Music Group in 2007 and sold to IASin 2013. In the Benelux, V2 operates separately from PIAS, as the label bought itself out from Universal in 2007. Paul Edward Draper (born 26 September 1970 in Liverpool) is an English singer-songwriter, musician and record producer, formerly the frontman of the rock band Mansun. Biography Early days Paul Draper grew up on Garmoyle Road in Wavertree, Liverpool before moving with his family to Connah's Quay, Deeside. Draper described the area as being "the absolute nothing of Great Britain", adding "Deeside is just the bit where the Welsh people really aren't Welsh because they were infiltrated by the English in the Fifties and Sixties. "Just Let the Sun" is the second released from Skin's second album ''Fake Chemical State''. Like her previous single, " Alone in My Room", the song was co-written with Paul Draper from Mansun. This was the first single from the album to be available on CD single. The release featured two B-Sides, "Only Vultures" and "Petrol Station Flowers". Fake Chemical State
''Fake Chemical State'' is the second solo album by Skunk Anansie lead vocalist Skin. Released on 20 March 2006, the album was produced by Gordon Raphael and Skin herself, except for the first single "Alone in My Room" which Skin produced with former Mansun lead vocalist Paul Draper. The track "Take Me On" features Italian music group Marlene Kuntz with whom Skin previously collaborated on the track "La canzone che scrivo per te" for their album ''Che cosa vedi''. Mansun
Mansun were an English alternative rock band, formed in Chester in 1995. The band comprised vocalist/rhythm guitarist Paul Draper, bassist Stove King, lead guitarist/backing vocalist Dominic Chad, and drummer Andie Rathbone.
