Sigalit Landau
Sigalit Ethel Landau ( he, סיגלית לנדאו; born 1969) is an Israeli sculptor, video and installation artist. Biography Sigalit Ethel Landau was born in 1969 in Jerusalem. She spent several years in the US and the UK. Between 1990 and 1995, she studied art at the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem. During this time, she spent one-semester as an exchange student at the Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art in New York City. She currently lives and works in Israel. Art career Landau is a multi-disciplinary artist whose work includes drawing, sculpture, video and performance art, sometimes self-standing and sometimes forming whole environments. Yigal Tumarkin
Igael Tumarkin (Hebrew: יגאל תומרקין; 23 October 1933 – 12 August 2021) was an Israeli painter and sculptor. Biography Peter Martin Gregor Heinrich Hellberg (later Igael Tumarkin) was born in 1933 in Dresden, Saxony, Germany. His father, Martin Hellberg, was a German theater actor and director, and a son of a pastor. His Jewish mother, Berta Gurevitch, and his stepfather, Herzl Tumarkin, immigrated to then British Mandate of Palestine (now Israel) when he was two. Tumarkin served in the Israeli Navy. After completing his military service, he studied sculpture in Ein Hod, a village of artists near Mount Carmel, under Rudi Lehmann. His youngest son is the actor Yon Tumarkin. Tumarkin died at the age of 87 on 12 August 2021. Gideon Rubin
Gideon Rubin (born 1973) is an Israeli-British artist who works with themes such as childhood, family and memory. The grandson of the Israeli painter Reuven Rubin, and the son of diplomat David Rubin and curator of The Rubin Museum since 1983, Carmela Rubin. Gideon was greatly influenced by art and culture growing up. Rubin had made abstracted and faceless portraits, which are inspired by images from old photo albums, paparazzi shots of celebrities and paintings by old masters. Chloe Piene
Chloe Piene is a visual artist known primarily for her drawing. It has been described as “brutal, delicate, figurative, forensic, erotic and fantastic.” Chloe Piene was born in the United States and received her BA in Art History at Columbia University and her MFA in Fine Art from Goldsmiths, University of London. Work Piene is known widely for her delicate and penetrating drawings, which are typically anchored in the body. Her video and sculpture utilize the greater sensory impact of noise, time, shadow, and heavy materials to dig visibly into the more subterranean levels of experience. Arik Levy was born in Tel Aviv. An artist and industrial designer, he attended the Art Center Europe in Switzerland where he graduated with distinction in 1991.
