Alon Eizenman
Alon Eizenman (born February 9, 1979) is a Canadian and Israeli former ice hockey player. He played club hockey for the Nittany Lions at Pennsylvania State University, then played professionally in France and on the Israeli national team in 2000, 2001, 2002, 2005, and 2006 Ice Hockey World Championships. Eizenman earned a Bachelor of Science from Pennsylvania State University in 2001, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Toronto in 2007. Hockey career In secondary school, Eizenman played for the Wexford Raiders. Eizenman played for Canada in the Maccabiah Games while still in secondary school. Eizenman played for Penn State as an undergraduate from 1997 to 2001 under coach Joe Battista. He led Penn State to 4 ACHA national championships. In 2000 he scored 16 minutes into overtime, to beat Eastern Michigan for the ACHA Division I Championship. The centre (or center in the United States) in ice hockey is a forward (hockey), forward position of a player whose primary Hockey rink#Zones, zone of play is the middle of the ice, away from the sideboards. Centres have more flexibility in their positioning and therefore often end up covering more ice surface than any other player. Wexford Raiders
The Toronto Jr. Canadiens are a Junior "A" ice hockey team based in the Downsview neighbourhood of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. They were known as the Wexford Raiders until the end of the 2005–06 season and are a part of Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL) but used to be a part of the Metro Junior A Hockey League. History The team originated in 1972 as the Wexford Warriors of the Metro Junior B league, when the original Wexford Raiders jumped to the Junior A Ontario Provincial League in 1972. When the Junior A Raiders folded in 1981, the Junior B Warriors adopted the Raider name and kept it until 2006. Oren Eizenman
Oren Eizenman (born March 27, 1985) is an Israeli-Canadian former professional ice hockey player. He last played for the Nippon Paper Cranes in the Asia League Ice Hockey (ALIH). Biography Eizenman was born in Toronto, Canada, to Ronit and Moshe Eizenman, and is Jewish. He spent some of his childhood living in a suburb of Tel Aviv. His father is a University of Toronto professor and an expert on eye tracking, and his mother is a teacher. He is the brother of ice hockey players Alon (now a lawyer) and Erez Eizenman (now a management consultant), all three of whom have played for the Israeli national team. Israel Baseball League
The Israel Baseball League (IBL; Hebrew: ליגת הבייסבול הישראלית, ''Ligat ha-Beisbol ha-Israelit'') was a six-team professional baseball league in Israel. The first game was played on June 24, 2007. League structure The six league teams were the Tel Aviv Lightning, Netanya Tigers, Bet Shemesh Blue Sox, Petach Tikva Pioneers, Modi'in Miracle, and Ra'anana Express. The teams played games at three ballparks. American Collegiate Hockey Association
The American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) is a college ice hockey association. The ACHA's purpose is to be an organization of collegiate affiliated non-varsity programs, which provides structure, regulates operations, and promotes quality in collegiate ice hockey. The ACHA currently has three men's and two women's divisions and includes approximately 450 teams from across the United States. Teams offer few athletic scholarships and typically receive far less university funding. The ACHA offers an opportunity for college hockey programs that struggle with large budgets and Title IX issues, as an alternative to the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) financial structure.
