''Almost in Love'' is a compilation album by American singer Elvis Presley, released in November 1970 by RCA Records on their budget label, RCA Camden. It was the first of several albums on the low-priced RCA Camden label (others including '' C'mon Everybody'' and '' I Got Lucky'') to make available in LP format tracks that had previously been available only on 45 rpm singles or EPs. It was certified Gold and Platinum on January 6, 2004 by the Recording Industry Association of America. "Almost in Love" is a song recorded by Elvis Presley as part of the soundtrack for his 1968 motion picture ''Live a Little, Love a Little''. Luiz Bonfa had previously released an instrumental version of this tune in 1966 called "Moonlight in Rio". In September 1968 it was released on a single with the song "A Little Less Conversation" on the other side. Its first LP release was as the title track of Presley's budget album '' Almost in Love'' in November 1970. Winfield Scott (November 27, 1920 – October 26, 2015), also known as Robie Kirk, was an American songwriter and singer. He wrote or co-wrote the hit songs "Tweedle Dee" for LaVern Baker, and he was a co-writer with Otis Blackwell of " Return to Sender" for Elvis Presley. "Return to Sender", written for the Presley film ''Girls! Girls! Girls!'', was a U.K. No.1 single and peaked at No.2 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. Scott was born in Bloomfield, New Jersey. Randy Starr (born Warren Nadel, July 2, 1930) is an American dentist and singer-songwriter known for writing twelve songs for Elvis Presley. Early life Starr was educated at Columbia University where he took his undergraduate degree from Columbia College in 1951, and his DDS degree from Columbia College of Dental Medicine in 1954. Luiz Floriano Bonfá (17 October 1922 – 12 January 2001) was a Brazilian guitarist and composer. He was best known for the music he composed for the film ''Black Orpheus''. Biography Luiz Floriano Bonfá was born on October 17, 1922, in Rio de Janeiro. He began studying with Uruguayan classical guitarist Isaías Sávio at the age of 11. These weekly lessons entailed a long, harsh commute (on foot, plus two and half hours on train) from his family home in Santa Cruz, in the western rural outskirts of Rio de Janeiro, to the teacher's home in the hills of Santa Teresa.
