Almost Gold Recordings
Almost Gold Recordings is an independent record label. It was founded in 2007 in New York City by Scott Rodger of Quest Management with distribution in North America through Columbia Records. The first release on Almost Gold was the Peter Bjorn and John album ''Writer's Block'', on February 6, 2007. Almost Gold is now fully independent in North America having severed ties with Columbia Records. Almost Gold Recordings is a partnership between Scott Rodger and Clare Britt (formerly of Rough Trade and Island Records), with distribution Worldwide through Mercury Records. Black Kids
Black Kids are an American indie rock band. Formed in Jacksonville, Florida in 2006, the group consists of singer/guitarist Reggie Youngblood, keyboardists/backup singers Ali Youngblood and Dawn Watley, bassist Owen Holmes, and drummer Kevin Snow. The Black Kids' debut EP, ''Wizard of Ahhhs'', received favorable critical response in 2007, and was followed by the ''Partie Traumatic'' album, which debuted at number five on the UK Albums Chart in July 2008. History Black Kids formed in Jacksonville in 2006. Harlem Shakes
Harlem Shakes were an American indie rock band from New York, formed in 2006 and signed to Gigantic Music. Prior to their signing, they released the 2007 EP ''Burning Birthdays''. The band disbanded in September 2009 after a hiatus following the release of their first full-length album, ''Technicolor Health''. The group's guitarist, Todd Goldstein, is still actively producing music under the name ARMS. The group's drummer, Brent Katz, is also still actively involved in the indie music scene. Katz continues to produce music in his solo/side-project, Thunder & Lightning, which has released an album entitled ''Kangaroo Court''. Wild Light
Wild Light is an American four-piece indie rock band from New Hampshire, United States, composed of multi-instrumentalists/vocalists Tim Kile and Seth Pitman, guitarist/vocalist Jordan Alexander, and drummer Seth Kasper. The band formed in 2005 and released its first full-length album, ''Adult Nights'', in March 2009. Kile is a former member of the Canadian band, Arcade Fire. Biography Wild Light began when Tim and Jordan began making music together in elementary school. In high school, they joined with Seth Pitman and Seth Kasper to form a band. Walter Meego was an American band from Chicago, Illinois. The bandmembers now live in Los Angeles, California. History Walter Meego was formed in 2004 by Justin Sconza (guitar, keyboards and vocals), Pat Pellegrini, and Colin Yarck (production) in the basement of Pellegrini's house. Patrick Pellegrini left the band in 2005, and Andrew Adzemovic (guitar and vocals) joined the band in 2017. They released a series of EPs before their debut album, "Voyager" was released in May 2008. is a Japanese singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, who debuted in May 2004 in America with his album ''Night Piece''. He creates every aspect of his music, including the lyrics, music, arrangements, recording and mixing. He is known for the variety of instruments he uses in his music, using over 100 different traditional and non-traditional instruments in his recordings. Tokumaru is also a member of the Japanese rock band Gellers. Tokumaru's 2010 album '' Port Entropy'' was his most commercially successful album in Japan, breaking into the top 40. Does It Offend You, Yeah? are a British dance-punk band from Reading, Berkshire. They played what was to be their final show on 12 December 2015 at the Electric Ballroom, Camden Town. In September 2021, they announced a new album, titled ''We Do Our Own Stunts''. History Does It Offend You, Yeah?, named after a quote from the BBC television series ''The Office'', were formed in 2006 in Reading, UK by James Rushent and Dan Coop and soon joined by Rob Bloomfield and Morgan Quaintance.
